Megan began in financial services after graduating from the University of British Columbia in 2008. Having been in the industry for over a decade, Megan has experience but also youthful enthusiasm on her side. She provides top-tier advice to high net worth families, individuals, and businesses. Outside of the office, her favourite pastime is riding her horse Ferris but also enjoys golf and cross-country skiing.

Taryn Van Woudenberg

Business Associate

Taryn joined BMO Nesbitt Burns in 2015 and brings to the team over 14 years of experience in financial services.  Taryn grew up in Red Deer and completed a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from the University of Alberta.  She prides herself on her ability to multitask, prioritize, and always carry a positive attitude.  Taryn is licensed as a Registered Representative. 

 

She has two young kids and enjoys spending time with them and her husband Rob. They enjoy traveling, often visiting family in Holland, and camping at their trailer in Sundre.

Amber Regino

Client Service Assistant

Born and raised in Calgary, Amber has over 14 years experience working in the financial services industry. She has also worked as an Executive Assistant for a publicly traded company. Her experience gives her an edge in understanding the needs of our team and clients. Some of her favourite past times include pottery, golfing, and mountain biking with her family.

Anadi Mehta , CPA, CA, TEP

Director, Tax Planning

Anadi provides tax and estate planning expertise to high net worth families and business owners. Leveraging his extensive knowledge and experience on Business Succession and Transition Planning, Tax and Estate Planning and Wealth Preservation, his clients benefit from his "hands-on"approach to client service and effective tailor-made wealth and tax planning solutions that are comprehensive, practical and integrated.

Anadi is an experienced Chartered Accountant (CPA, CA) and member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (TEP). He brings an extensive experience of working with collaborative teams of experienced professionals, providing advice to high net worth families, private companies and their owners. Prior to joining BMO, Anadi was employed in a similiar role at another financial institution, where he partnered with a multi-disciplinary team to develop holisitc and integrated wealth management strategies incorporating the unique and complex needs of high net worth clients, and offered recommendations to optimize and grow clients' wealth. His previous work experience includes several years at Deloitte LLP, where he focused on private companies, sole proprieters, and high net worth individuals with complex tax situations including international and cross-border taxation; and a boutique Calgary CA firm of financial professionals, providing business and financial advice to small and medium-sized private companies.

Anadi's goal, as part of the BMO Wealth Planning team, is to empower clients with comprehensive and customized solutions, resolving complex situations through coordinated and proactive wealth plans.

Lisa Kayaga, LL.B, LL.M, TEP

Director, Will & Estate Planning

Lisa is part of the High Net Worth specialists team and she advises high net worth clients on their complex estate planning to help them understand the different strategies that they can use to preserve family relations and maximize their wealth. Having practiced law in Ontario and Alberta, clients benefit from her extensive experience with will, estates, trust and incapacity issues. Using her strong interpersonal skills, she is able to simplify complex estate matters for clients so that they have the confidence to instruct their trusted professionals to set up their estate plans.

Prior to joining BMO Wealth Management, Lisa was with a national trust company where she dealt with High Net Worth clients and advised them on their complex estate planning. Earlier in her career she practiced law in Ottawa, Ontario. Her practice was focused on private client services including estate planning, wills, trusts and estate administration ranging from routine matters to complex multi-jurisdictional estates.

Kimiko Comeau, CFA

Director, Business Advisory & Succession Planning

Kimiko is part of the Business Advisory & Succession Planning team, which provides high net worth business owners in transition with a sophisticated, forward-thinking wealth management plan. She works with individuals and business owners in the areas of business succession, transition, sale, mergers & acquisitions, and valuations for the purposes of wealth planning and transfer. Kimiko is an experienced business advisor who brings more than 10 years of technical and business planning expertise to BMO Wealth Management.

Kimiko joined BMO Wealth Management in 2018 after more than a decade as a mid-market M&A advisor at a Big 4 professional services firm. With a focus on sell-side advisory services for private Alberta-based companies, Kimiko has worked with companies in a range of industries including oil and gas services, manufacturing, distribution and construction. Kimiko has advised on complex transactions including sales to financial and strategic buyers, management buyouts, and shareholder disputes.

Shawna Albornoz, MTI, TEP

Vice President of Trust Services, BMO Trust Company

Shawna Albornoz is the Vice President of Trust Services (Prairies) with BMO Trust Company, the fiduciary arm of the BMO Financial Group. Shawna has been in the Estate and Trust Industry since 2001 and she has administered over 130 Estate, Trust, Power of Attorney, and charitable foundation accounts during her career.
 
Through her experience as a corporate Executor and Trustee for high net worth clients, she has acquired the expertise to help families effectively plan for the transfer of wealth to the next generation and deal with all fiduciary responsibilities. Shawna holds her MTI designation from the Canadian Securities Institute, she is a member of The Society of Estate and Trust Practitioners (STEP), an international professional organization dedicated to promoting financial and estate planning considerations between generations and is a member of the Calgary Estate Planning Council (EPC).
