Co-founder of Maloney + Elliott group

Zac is a financial partner to many leading and high-growth founders, entrepreneurs, and owners in both Canada and the US.

From 2016 – 2020, Zac co-managed one of the largest BMO Nesbitt Burns offices in Canada, representing 40 advisory teams and approximately $6 billion in assets under management.

Prior to – Zac studied at both Dalhousie University; and, Copenhagen Business School, Denmark.

A meaningful cause to Zac is the research and fight against Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) via Juravinksi Hospital.

Byron began his career at BMO Nesbitt Burns and built a client base from the ground up. He is a founding partner of the maloney + elliott group and a financial partner to primarily owners, founders, and entrepreneurs.

In 2017, Byron earned his Chartered Investment Manager (CIM), a prominent industry designation held by a small minority of Canadian advisors.

Prior to joining BMO Nesbitt Burns, Byron completed an honours degree at the University of Toronto and played competitive hockey in the OHL (St Michael's Majors), ECHL (Cincinnati Cyclones – a Florida Panthers and Nashville Predators NHL Affiliate) and in Europe. He remains active in the hockey community, and volunteers his spare time in his role as Vice President of the University of Toronto Varsity Blues Grads Foundation.

Valerie is a CFP professional and licensed Life Insurance Advisor with BMO Nesbitt Burns Financial Services Inc. Valerie is a graduate of the University of Toronto and began her career with BMO Nesbit Burns in 2011.

Valerie specializes in wealth management for business owners, offering expertise in estate planning and inter-generational wealth transfers, corporate and personal tax planning strategies, investment strategies, integration of life insurance and an overall focus on family harmony and philanthropy.

She currently works with a client base consisting of entrepreneurs, incorporated professionals, executives, and retirees.

Tyler joined maloney + elliott group in 2021, and currently heads up new relationship opportunities for the team. Prior to, Tyler was a ‘student of covid’ interning with BMO – responsible for helping with the firm’s strategic engagement efforts.

His formal education includes a Bachelor in Business, with a specialization in Finance – from Trent University. While there, he played on the Trent Men’s Varsity Rugby team. He was awarded by the Ontario University Athletics Association as an academic athlete for his commitment to studies and sport.

Outside of the office – Tyler works on mastering his stand-up comedy routine and is working up the courage to perform in front of a live audience.

As the newest member of the  maloney + elliott group, Jovan comes from a background in the real estate industry, where his primary focus was on exceptional client servicing.

Equipped with an Honours Bachelor of Commerce, specializing in Finance from McMaster University, Jovan's educational background reflects his deep understanding of the financial realm. His passion for expanding his horizons led him to participate in an international exchange program in Lyon, France, where he fully immersed himself in the French culture and refined his French language skills.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Jovan finds joy in an active lifestyle. Skiing, basketball, and exploring new destinations are among his favorite pastimes. Having ventured to more than 25 countries, he enjoys exploring diverse cultures, their rich heritage and unique culinary delights.
