The Kootstra Kleer Wealth Management Group is delighted to sponsor the first concert of the Windsor Symphony Orchestra’s 78th season, “Opening night with Gershwin,” and warmly invites you to join us for an unforgettable evening of music and celebration! This year marks the 100th anniversary of George Gershwin’s Concerto in F for Piano & Concerto. Gershwin’s concerto blends classical structure with jazz-inspired rhythms, creating a vibrant dialogue between piano soloist Kevin Cole and the orchestra, under the baton of guest conductor Carl Topilow. The concert also features Richard Strauss’s Don Juan, a thrilling symphonic poem that launched Strauss to international fame. Additional details here: Opening Night with Gershwin – Windsor Symphony Orchestra. Please join us at The Gallery at the Capitol Theatre (entrance located immediately to the left of the Capitol main entrance on University Ave) for a pre-concert reception where refreshments and light snacks will be made available. Tickets will be distributed at the reception. Note: In addition to the pre-concert reception, one complimentary beverage ticket will be provided for each guest to enjoy during the concert. Drinks are available at the bar within the Capitol Theatre.   We would be remiss when sending this invitation if we failed to acknowledge the very sad news that was released earlier today - the passing of longtime Maestro Robert Franz on September 2nd, 2025. As a result of this sudden loss, the opening concert will be both a celebration of the WSO’s 78th season, as well as an opportunity to reflect on the indelible impact that Maestro Franz has had not only on the Symphony, but on the entire community. We are proud to sponsor the third and final Cars & Coffee event of 2025, hosted by the renowned team at RM Auto Restoration. This open event is a celebration of automotive excellence, featuring cars of all makes, models, and eras — from timeless classics to modern marvels. Enjoy complimentary refreshments, including fresh baked goods from Big Ricky’s Little Bake Shoppe. This event will go on rain or shine - keep an umbrella or two handy, if the forecast suggests it.

Legend of Orpheus (Gluck: Orfeo ed Euridice) This performance of the Legend of Orpheus, set in an early 19th Century ‘steampunk’ style, is a timeless tale headlined by mezzo-soprano, Erin Armstrong, playing the role of Orpheus. Joining the cast is the Windsor Symphony Orchestra Chorus and students from the St. Clair College Music Theatre program. Anna’s staff will guide you, step-by-step, to create a gorgeous live planter using fresh winter greens that will dress up the outside of your home this winter season.
