Cherie has more than 18 years of experience working in the banking and financial markets of the London and Sarnia area. She has since then relocated to Toronto where she services business owners, entrepreneurs and high net worth clients as a Senior Private Banker. 

As a dedicated Financial Planner, Cherie creates sophisticated banking packages and a full suite of personalized credit solutions for her clients and their families. She then draws on a team of BMO professionals/experts who specialize in investments, commercial banking, as well as tax and estate planning to create a uniquely personalized banking experience for her clients. To ensure a very personalized service and attention to detail, Cherie works with a very limited number of clients and their families

He provides support to her BMO colleagues as part of an integrated wealth planning team level. Drawing on extensive financial services expertise and passion for planning, Brett helps clients articulate and understand their unique objectives for accumulated wealth. Employing a consistent, conservative value-add approach,Brett takes the time to truly understand what goals our clients want to achieve and create an innovative and tailored solutions for every client and their family.

James provides estate and insurance advice to high net worth clients though sophisticated, forward-thinking wealth management planning. James offers clients informed insight across the broad spectrum of wealth and estate planning issues, leveraging advanced market experience – more than 20 years of specialized tax, estate, and insurance expertise – and a unique understanding of the financial and emotional complexities of family wealth.

He works collaboratively with his colleagues to simplify the complexities associated with wealth and offering affluent families and entrepreneurs a uniquely personalized experience. Together, they aim to help clients realize their aspirations, at all stages of life, through meaningful conversations.

Richard Belley

Vice President and Managing Director, Fixed Income Specialist

Richard has been involved with Fixed Income and Interest Rate Derivative markets for over 21 years, including seven years in direct sales and trading. Early in his career, Richard worked as an interest rate Futures and Options institutional representative for BMO Nesbitt Burns Inc. and an international bank advising national and international clients. This was followed by a three-year period as a provincial and municipal trader for the Private Client Division of BMO Nesbitt Burns Inc.

In 2001, Richard participated in the launch of the newly created Portfolio Services Group within the Private Client Division to provide a low-cost alternative for management of fixed income portfolios for high net worth individuals and institutional clients. Richard has been actively managing fixed income portfolios for more than 10 years. He is a CFA Charterholder and a registered portfolio manager.

Since 2011, Richard is the Fixed Income Strategist for the Private Client Division of BMO Nesbitt Burns and is a member of the Investment Strategy Committee.

Stéphane Rochon

Stéphane Rochon, CFA, MBA

Vice President and Managing Director, Head of Private Client Research

Stéphane has over 15 years of experience in the investment industry, focusing primarily on Canadian and U.S. equities. Stéphane chairs the Private Client Investment Strategy Committee, which establishes the overall asset allocations for client portfolios. He also researches and publishes reports on longer-term investment themes and their expected impact on the markets. As the Head of Private Client Research, Stéphane is also responsible for the overall direction and oversight of the team's publications. Stéphane is a CFA charter holder and holds an MBA from McGill University.

Before joining the BMO team, Stéphane was Director and U.S. Research Product Manager in Credit Suisse’s Equity Research department in New York. As part of that role, he was responsible for approving and coordinating new stock and sector initiations as well as thematic research reports. He also managed the Credit Suisse Focus List and outperformed the S&P 500 seven consecutive years. Prior to joining Credit Suisse in 2004, he spent six years working with a major Canadian bank in Toronto.
