Paul has been in the financial services industry since 1987 and at BMO Nesbitt Burns since 1995. In that time he has been successful at preserving wealth and developing strong, risk controlled portfolio strategies. Paul’s dedication and commitment to excellence has enabled him to develop and maintain very loyal client relationships.

Alex started his career in the Financial Services industry in 2015, following graduation from the Financial Planning program at Mohawk College. Since then, he has continued his education by pursuing multiple industry qualifications, as well as recently completing his MBA with a specialization in Risk Management. Alex is an active member of the Rotary Club of Sault Ste. Marie and sits on the Board of Directors for the Sault Area Hospital Foundation. Alex’s passion in the financial industry is the simple satisfaction of knowing he truly helped someone achieve their financial goals.

 

In his free time, you can find Alex spending quality time with his friends and family, on the golf course, or practicing his passion in the culinary arts.

Kim Wood

Client Service Assistant

Kim holds a diploma in Office Administration—Executive from Sault College, where she was honored with the Lynn Dee Eason Award for demonstrating tenacity, moral fiber, and courage. Kim is passionate about providing exceptional client service, ensuring smooth office operations, and supporting clients in achieving their financial goals with professionalism and confidentiality.

 

Originally from Mississauga, Kim moved to Sault Ste. Marie in her late teens and has since developed a love for the area's natural beauty. Outside of work, Kim enjoys spending time with her kids, staying active through regular workouts, walking her dog, and painting. She also loves listening to music and always has an iced coffee in hand.

Private Banker

Born in Sudbury Ontario, Eric has gained an appreciation for the unique opportunities and challenges that come with operating in the north. With over 10 years of experience in Account management, Lending and Banking, he has built strong relationships with diverse clientele. As a Private Banker, Eric is fully responsible for developing and executing a banking/lending strategy that properly reflects clients’ overall wealth objectives. He currently resides in Sudbury Ontario. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling and attending live music events, if he is not golfing.

Eric takes time to listen and understand each client’s circumstances, financial needs, and goals for today and the future. He then collaborates with his professional colleagues within BMO Private Wealth to design an integrated and comprehensive strategy for each client, to be a trusted professional partner as always. Eric’s goal is to empower clients with comprehensive and customized solutions, resolving complex situations through coordinated and proactive wealth plans.

Head of Estate and Insurance

With over 20 years in the estate planning and insurance industry, Phil has been with BMO Estate Insurance Advisory Services since 1998. Phil provides comprehensive advice for personal estate, corporate estate, insurance and retirement needs. Areas of expertise include estate creation and preservation techniques and corporate financial security planning, all with an emphasis on elimination of taxes. By collaborating with Investment Advisors, Phil facilitates the planning process and coordinates clients' other Advisors, including lawyers and accountants.

In addition to his advisory role, Phil plays a key role on the division’s management team as an ambassador for Estate and Insurance Advisors across Canada. In this position, Phil leverages his experience as a top performing advisor to create opportunities and tools that will help Estate and Insurance Advisors in becoming successful advisors and leaders in their field.

Tyler Klinck

Director – Wealth Planning

Tyler has always been passionate about helping people, especially with their finances. After being accepted into the University of Ottawa’s Telfer School of Management, Tyler quickly learned the importance of financial management and switched his degree major from Marketing to Finance.
Once graduated, Tyler started to pursue his Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation to further his grasp on the financial landscape we all are navigating. At BMO Private Wealth, he now uses this knowledge to provide customized solutions to serve the unique needs of his clients.

Carol Willes

Director, Estate Planning

Carol brings over 30 years of legal experience with 17 years of dedicated wealth and estate planning expertise to her role. Carol came from a combination of private practice in law and consulting for clients from Asia to Europe in the areas of business structuring, succession planning and financing. She has taught both undergraduates and executives at the Queen’s University School of Business and Faculty of Law, in the fields of international business, law and ethics and most recently taught Wills and the Law of Succession to upper year law students at the University of Ottawa.

Now as Director, Estate Planning at BMO Private Wealth, Carol strives to provide meaningful, client-centered advice and solutions. She helps individuals and their families build a secure and purposeful legacy and find peace of mind in the context of their entire wealth story.

Carol assists clients from many backgrounds to comprehend their present circumstances and to develop that future legacy. By helping people focus on what is most important to them – their family, their community, financial security and more – she develops distinctive estate planning options for clients as part of an integrated team of wealth planning specialists that supports those clients through their entire life journey.

Louis-Philippe de Sève-Bergeron, LL.B, TEP

Director, Tax Planning

As a tax specialist, Louis-Philippe provides information and guidance to individuals and businesses relevant to today’s complex tax environment. In order to coordinate the best client solutions, Louis-Philippe often works directly with our clients’ lawyers and accountants. The goal is to always ensure that a well-rounded team of professionals is working to improve our clients’ situation.

Louis-Philippe is also fluent in both English and French. Louis-Philippe, holds both a Master of Taxation and the Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) designation, has worked extensively on corporate reorganizations and restructuring, estate planning, and establishment of trusts. He has consulted on intergenerational transfers, estate planning and transfers to key employees. With over 12 years of experience in an accounting environment, 6 being at BMO, he has developed the ability to provide clear and concise advice to a variety of clients during their most stressful life events.
