Chris is a Senior Portfolio Manager in the Toronto Bay St. Branch. In his capacity as an investment advisor, he and his team provide wealth management expertise to a select number of families, foundations and corporations.  His wealth management practice helps clients through a broad range of services that include: Financial planning, estate planning, investment management, portfolio construction and tracking, and private banking.
 
His formal education includes a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from Queen's University and holds the Certified Investment Manager (CIM) designation through the Canadian Securities Institute.  Chris is also a graduate of the Securities Industry Institute from the Wharton School of Business.  In addition to his role within The Davies Group, Chris is also a member of the investment committee for BMO Nesbitt Burns.  His investment credentials include licensing as an investment advisor and as an insurance agent in Canada.  He began his career in the financial services industry with one of BMO Wealth’s predecessor firms, Burns Fry, in 1993.

 

Chris is a devoted husband and father of four children. In his spare time Chris enjoys skiing in the winter, watersports in the summer and spending his free time in the quiet of his workshop.

Daniel Gruchala, B.Comm, CIM, DMS, FCSI

Portfolio Manager, Senior Investment Advisor

Daniel has over 18 years of industry experience. He started at BMO Nesbitt Burns in 2005 directly after finishing his university education. He plays a lead role in the portfolio management process from an asset allocation, sector and specific security selection perspective.

Daniel holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Ryerson University; he is a Chartered Investment Manager (CIM), Derivatives Market Specialist (DMS), a Life Insurance Advisor with BMO Nesbit Burns Financial Services Inc, and Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI). The FCSI is the highest honour in Canadian financial services. This designation is only reward to those who meet the stringent experience, education and ethics requirements.

Daniel lives in the West End of Toronto with his wife. He enjoys spending his weekends golfing, reading and spending time with his friends and family.

Tara, began her career with Nesbitt Burns in 1998 and is an expert in all aspects of administration in the financial advice business. Tara brings a positive attitude and commitment to exceptional client service which makes her a joy for clients to deal with. Tara is fully securities licensed and carries both a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Western Ontario and a Professional Financial Planning designation.

In her spare time Tara loves to travel and enjoys individual sports such as cycling and skiing.

As a Senior Investment Associate with The Davies Group of BMO Nesbitt Burns, Brent brings over seven years of experience in the Financial Services and Investment Industry working with families and individuals to organize their financial affairs and create accountability for their wealth management objectives. 
 
Brent holds the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) and FPSC Level 1 designations; he is currently working towards earning the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional designation. 

Brent enjoys spending time with his wife and daughters, and friends. His love for making music and the outdoors helps Brent maintain a balanced lifestyle.

Rebecca joined BMO Wealth Management in November 2017. Prior to that she spent 7 years working in public accounting, encompassing the areas of personal and corporate taxation, corporate restructuring, financial mediation and divorce finances, tax and wealth planning. Additionally she has spent time in the manufacturing and service sectors in finance roles, and started her career with a ‘big 4’ accounting firm.

Kate Stephens

Kate began her career as an estates and trusts litigator at a downtown Toronto law firm, working on will challenges, capacity litigation, and passings of accounts. She has appeared in the Superior Court of Justice and Small Claims Court on behalf of her clients, and has experience in estates and trusts mediation.
 
Kate has a proven track record acting as a court-appointed estate trustee during litigation, guardian of property, and successor trustee for complex estates and trusts. She enjoys meeting with clients to assist them with their estate planning needs, including disability planning, business succession planning, and planned charitable giving.
 
Kate has authored or co-authored papers for The Advocate’s Quarterly, Your Guide to Charitable Giving & Estate Planning, the Law Society of Ontario the Ontario Bar Association, and the Society of Trusts and Estates Practitioners Canada.
