David Lawson, Senior Investment Advisor, CFP, CIM - BMO Nesbitt Burns.

David graduated with a Bachelor of Arts ( Economics ) from The University of Western Ontario. He joined BMO Bank of Montreal in 2000 as a Commercial Account Manager in Owen Sound and then BMO Nesbitt Burns in 2006. He is a Chartered Investment Manager  (CIM) granted from The Canadian Securities Institute, a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional designation, and Life Insurance licensed. David has also recently obtained The Certificate in Advanced Investment Advice.
 

A Financial Advisor for over a decade, David focuses on assisting individuals, business owners and self-employed professionals build wealth and develop sound financial and estate plans,  that meet their personal needs.  An additional focus, is the use of tax efficient investing techniques to reduce the overall income tax burden.

David uses a collaborative approach to discuss long term and short term goals and the different paths to reach them with innovative Financial Planning Techniques.


David is actively involved in the community and has served as a director of the Tom Thomson Art Gallery Board of Management and Co-Chair of the Annual Spike it Rich for Charity Volleyball Tournament.  As well as participating in numerous fundraising initiatives in the region.

An Owen Sound resident for almost 20 years David takes a keen interest in the health of the community. He is an Owen Sound Family Y Member, active cyclist and member of the Bruce Ski Club. David and his family also enjoy hiking and the many beautiful vistas that this area provides.
