Meet our Team
Clive Holmes has over 25 years in the investment industry, with a vast background that includes experience on the institutional sales desk, operations, retail sales, and the manufacturing and distribution side of the business. Started his career after attending the University of Guelph and entered the industry on the institutional sales side as a fixed income specialist before moving into the operational side with positions in risk and credit departments and then compliance and client services.
Prior to joining BMO Nesbitt Burns in 2014, worked as the Senior Vice-President for Horizons Exchange Traded Funds where he was part of the team that grew from a start-up to over 5 billion in assets by the time he left. Clive previously worked as an Investment Advisor in British Columbia, building and managing a book of clients in excess of 100 million in assets.
Clive has been married for over 22 years to his wife Debbie, and they have 2 children named Josh and Katie ages 19 and 16, along with Dawson their Bernese Mountain Dog. Clive enjoys watching sports particularly his Green Bay Packers, and playing golf is one of his many passions!

Analytics and analysis have always been James’ forte and he is passionate about helping people. As a result, James has been captured by the art of Financial Planning since first being exposed to it in school. Since 2008, he has made it his mission to develop his craft to be at the absolute pinnacle of the industry. At BMO, James is part of an integrated team of in-house technical specialists that work together to facilitate a superb client experience that delivers customized solutions to address the unique and complex needs of clients.
James has been in the Wealth Management industry nearly a decade. During this time he has worked at boutique investment firms, large insurance companies and as a subject matter expert for Moody’s Analytics. James has experience with the creation and implementation of complex financial plans to service high net worth families and individuals including professionals, executives, business owners and professional athletes
Outside of work, James enjoys competing in sports including softball, golf, and hockey or coaching ski racing and soccer. If you do not see him creating a yard sale on the hill, tripping over the blue line or trapped in a golf bunker, he is likely on a hike with his family around one of the many trails in Hamilton. James currently resides with his wife and family in Burlington.

Leigh joined BMO Wealth Management in 2017. In addition to her accounting background at KPMG, she has extensive experience in the investment industry, including working at a multi-family office where she led a diverse team. Most recently, Leigh worked as a Business and Family Wealth Specialist where she focused on tax planning and wealth transfer strategies for high net worth clients and business owners. For four years, Leigh co-authored the book “Tax Tips for Canadians for Dummies”.

Frank Lapierre, CFP®, CLU

Frank is an insurance expert with over 18 years experience. He specializes in high net worth clients and their unique challenges including business succession, estate planning and family dynamics.
Frank creates solutions tailored to each unique situation by providing guidance to affluent families, professionals, entrepreneurs and business owners with putting the right pieces in place to protect what is most valuable in life. His mission is to help clients develop an awareness and understanding of wealth and estate planning strategies through the creation of powerful solutions that achieve their objectives in a tax-efficient and cost-effective manner.
Frank completed his Psychology BA at Wilfrid Laurier University, where he also later obtained a Diploma in Business Administration. His education is on-going and he holds the major industry designations of Certified Financial Planner and Chartered Life Underwriter. Frank and his wife Sarah are new parents, so rare free time is consumed with golf, hiking and indulging their love of travel.

Experience & background
Prior to joining BMO Wealth Management in 2018, Adam worked for KPMG since 2005. Working within the KPMG Corporate Finance Group for nine years, he advised private company owners across multiple industries, with business enterprise values ranging from $3 million to +$100 million, on divestitures, acquisitions, due diligence, projections/financial modeling, and business valuations for multiple purposes. Other areas of experience include corporate restructuring and insolvency, financings, financial modeling & projections and corporate audits.

Director, Will and Estate Planning at BMO Wealth Management
Experience & background Prior to joining the BMO Enterprise Wealth Management Group, Landon practiced in a regional firm in the solicitors department with a focus on wills & estates, corporate commercial, and real estate law. Landon is able to draw from his past experience to provide clients with comprehensive support with their estate planning needs involving complex issues.

Linda Leung, CPA, TEP
Director, US Tax Planning
Linda is responsible for providing Investment Advisors and their clients with Canadian and US tax planning support. Before joining BMO Nesbitt Burns, Linda was a member of a global tax team at a large consulting firm where she assisted individuals in understanding the Canadian, US and international tax implications of their various forms of compensation. Prior to that, she was employed by a large, international accounting firm in their International Assignment Services and Small Business tax groups.
Linda has expertise in US personal tax matters and can provide guidance on cross-border personal income tax issues. In her previous role, Linda was also involved in the design and execution of global executive compensation and share plans.
Linda is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (TEP).
