Market Correction & Volatility

Blair Brace - Mar 17, 2025

Good afternoon,

I hope all is well with you and your family.

Earlier this week I recorded a video focused on the current market correction & volatility.

The key messages were that market corrections are a normal part of bull markets and that volatility, while uncomfortable at times, is the price of admission that we, as Investors, pay to Invest.

  1. recommend you save the following chart that I referenced in the video in a convenient place where you can easily access it. For me it helps to put 2025 into perspective. The next time you find yourself:
  • getting caught up in all the negative headlines around Trump, tariffs, recession & the markets, or
  • watching your portfolio frequently,

I recommend you reference the chart and keep the following in mind.

On average, the S&P 500 experiences:

  • 3 corrections of 5% or more every year
  • 1 correction of 10% or more every year
  • 1 correction of 15%+ every two years
  • The average maximum drawdown the S&P 500 is 14%+ per year.

If you have any questions or comments please reach out. I am watching things closely and we are here for you.

I’ll be in touch with more updates shortly.

Cheers

Blair
