Joanna Ho

Joanna Ho is a Director with BMO Family Office Canada with a primary focus on western Canada. Joanna brings her wealth of experience in providing institutional solutions to BMO Private Wealth & Canadian Commercial Banking clients across the country.
Through a career spanning over 20 years, Joanna has developed extensive international experience advising a diversified and extensive client base engaged in a broad range of cross border transactions with the aim to build & preserve their legacy through preservation, responsible growth, and ultimately smooth family transitions.
Prior to joining BMO, Joanna held various senior positions in major private banks in Asia. She was the Head of Wealth Planning, Greater China & North Asia with the Bank of Singapore where she spearheaded the family office and wealth planning support group. In her position as the Regional Head of Wealth Planning in Asia Pacific at HSBC Private Banking, she led a team of professionals assisting clients on their wealth structuring, asset protection, family office, and philanthropic planning. Her team received top awards and recognition for several consecutive years.
Joanna holds a Bachelor of Law from The University of London and a Bachelor of Commerce from The University of Calgary. She is also a qualified CPA (Canada, the US and Hong Kong), a member of Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and holds an Advanced Certificate of Family Business Advising from STEP.
Husayn Sidi
Director, BMO Family Office
Husayn is a Director on the BMO Family Office Team where he is responsible for quarterbacking the broader platform professionals and coordinating the delivery of a specialized suite of services across investments, private equity, philanthropy, family governance, planning, and other areas of the business across Canada.
Prior to joining the Family Office Team, Husayn was a Partner in a family manufacturing business in charge of leading the growth of the US Business. Prior to this, Husayn spent 10 years in BMO’s Corporate Finance business in various roles, including as Director, Diversified Industries in Toronto where he was responsible for the management of large public and private companies, and the credit underwriting of complex transactions.
Husayn is also involved in a voluntary capacity with a number of organizations including the Aga Khan Ismaili Economic Planning Board, McGill University Alumni Network and Support House (Oakville).
Husayn holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from McGill University and was awarded the Dean’s Honour List and is a McGill University Scholarship Recipient. Husayn resides in Toronto.
Shelley Forsythe
Director, Family Enterprise Planning
Shelley Forsythe is the Director of Family Enterprise planning at BMO Family Office. She provides clients, families and enterprises with strategic guidance on their master plan of personal, financial, family and enterprise goals. This process guides clients to navigate towards what's important and enables them to make purposeful decisions regarding their wealth and legacy. Shelley takes an in depth approach to gain insight into each client's overall goals and intentions to customize intergenerational options and solutions. She specializes in facilitating family governance and legacy conversations to promote education, harmony and effective communication across generations.
Shelley has been in the financial services industry for over 30 years. Her experience includes banking, investment management, financial planning, trust company and family office experience. She has earned eight professional designations in various disciplines, including the Family Enterprise Advisor (FEA), Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA), Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP), Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and Master Financial Advisor - Philanthropy (MFA-P).
Shelley's goal is to empower clients with comprehensive and customized solutions, resolving complex situations through coordinated and proactive wealth and legacy plans.
