Adam Balderston, CPA, CA

Senior Wealth Advisor

The Balderston name is well-known in Prince Edward Island for its farming business in Stratford and many valuable life lessons were learned growing up on our family farm. My interest in all things financial began at a very young age and I received a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Prince Edward Island in 1997. My career began at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Charlottetown and I completed an assignment in Boston, Massachusetts while with the firm. I received the professional designation of Chartered Accountant in 2002 and am a member of the Institute of Chartered Professional Accountants of Prince Edward Island. Prior to joining BMO Nesbitt Burns in March 2008, I spent six years at Prince Edward Island Business Development Inc. managing all aspects of a province-wide loan portfolio.

My wife Sonya is a Registered Nurse at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Charlottetown and we're proud parents of two daughters, Katie and Emma.

It's a privilege to serve our community and I've enjoyed volunteering in the roles of Chair Strategic Giving Committee at Holland College Foundation, Board Chair at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation, Board Member at Greater Charlottetown Area Chamber of Commerce, Council Member at PEI Institute of Chartered Accountants, and Board Trustee at Zion Presbyterian Church.
