About Us

Werner Hohn was born and raised in Kitchener, Ontario and brings 30 years of financial services industry experience to his role.  Werner is a graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University and has completed numerous industry related courses.  Along with being a Personal Financial Planner - PFP®, a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® practitioner, Werner is licensed as a Life Insurance Advisor with BMO Estate Insurance Advisory Services Inc.
 
Werner brings an abundance of experience, knowledge and training to his role as a Wealth Advisor providing a holistic wealth management focus to his client relationships.  He chose to work for BMO Nesbitt Burns because of the firm’s long history, excellent reputation and extensive resources for advisors and clients.

Scott Ellis was born and raised in Kitchener, Ontario. He attended the University of Guelph, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce, in Management Economics Industry and Finance. Scott joined the BMO Financial Group in 2009 and he brings both focus and enthusiasm to the office every day to ensure that all of our clients' needs are met. Scott has completed the Wealth Management Essential and the Professional Financial Planning course through the Canadian Securities Institute.

Outside of the office, Scott spends much of his time keeping an active lifestyle, through hockey, golf, volleyball, squash and tennis. However, his true passion in life is spending time on the water fishing.

Ryan has been in the financial services industry since 2016 with a focus on fostering strong relationships and helping clients achieve their goals. Ryan worked at TD Canada Trust before moving to Private Wealth as a Client Service Associate and then becoming a Financial Planner, where he was recognized in 2021 with the TD Financial Planning Distinction Award for being a top-performing Financial Planner nationwide. He is involved in the community with the Financial Planning Program Advisory Committee at Conestoga College..
 
Ryan was born and raised in Cambridge, Ontario. He attended Seneca College, where he earned an Honours Bachelor of Commerce in Financial Services Management, and has earned the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) designations. Outside of the office, Ryan lives in Breslau with his family and enjoys spending his free time playing golf, hockey, skiing and at the family cottage.
 

Karen began her career in the Financial Services Industry in 1989 with a major financial institution. She completed the Canadian Securities Course in 1999 and joined BMO Nesbitt Burns in March of 2000. Karen is efficient in assisting clients with their accounts and handles administrative duties for the Hohn-Ellis Wealth Advisory Group.
