As leader of the Vancouver Core Branch of BMO Private Wealth, Wil Tjoe is a fierce advocate for the award-winning team of Senior Private Bankers, Senior Investment Counsellors and wealth specialists under his wing. This office delivers comprehensive and integrated banking, investment management, estate and trust, philanthropy, and financial planning services with a strong level of engagement.

 

Wil is a former accountant and commercial corporate banker who has been with BMO for close to 30 years. An empathetic listener and relationship builder, he forges bridges between his team members and wealth professionals at BMO and beyond. Skilled in portfolio management, business relationship management, risk management, corporate finance, and commercial banking, Wil helps his professionals to deliver distinguished client service. He also provides them with business-building mentorship and relatable support to help them grow their practices, solve problems and break down roadblocks. Wil has an open-door approach and always takes time to learn about his people’s families, priorities and personal goals.

 

Wil’s numerous credentials reflect his rigour, knowledge and dedication. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CMA), a Fellow of the Chartered Management Accountants (FCMA), and a Fellow of the Chartered Canadian Professional Accountants (FCPA), the highest accounting designation in Canada. Wil is also a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FSCI®). He holds an MBA from Dalhousie University and has also completed the Advanced Leadership Program at the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto, a Diploma in Technology, Financial Management and Advanced Accounting with Honours from the British Columbia Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor of Science from the University of British Columbia.

 

Born and raised in Vancouver, BC, Wil feels fortunate to have worked in many cities across this great country throughout his varied career at BMO. He volunteers as an moderator in the CPA Program at the CPA Canadian Western School of Business. In his personal time, Wil unwinds over a game of golf and enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter and son.

 

Ronnda Granger works very closely with Wil Tjoe to help lead the Vancouver Core Branch of BMO Private Wealth. Her driven and award-winning team of Senior Private Bankers, Senior Investment Counsellors and wealth specialists deliver comprehensive and integrated banking, investment management, estate and trust, philanthropy, and financial planning services. Ronnda is a gifted problem-solver who provides business-building insights and mentorship for her team members and forges connections between them and professionals across BMO’s retail banking and wealth planning channels.

Calm and effective under pressure, nothing fazes Ronnda as she works to improve day-to-day office realities while also helping our wealth professionals to grow their businesses. Relatable and highly motivated, Ronnda is an invaluable team leader and skilled communicator who leverages her extensive experience as a Private Banker, Private Wealth Consultant and Branch Manager.

Ronnda proudly serves as Market Ambassador for the BMO Alliance for Women Vancouver Chapter and formerly sat on the Board of Directors of the Squamish Community Foundation. Ronnda enjoys anything outdoors. If she’s not in her yard gardening you will likely find her on the trails of Squamish, travelling in her RV around the US, or pursuing other travel adventures.

Zehra joined BMO Private Wealth in January 2022. She brings with herself over 7 years of experience in both Operations and Wealth Management.  Zehra believes in creating cross branch and cross region collaboration channels for operations teams, to build a strong support network and provide timely services to both advisors and their clients.

Recent achievements for Zehra include completion of the Certified Associate Project Management Qualification which enhanced her leadership skills to lead from the front and to get acquainted with the best project management practices.

Life away from work for Zehra revolves around her family and her community. Zehra is passionate about giving back to the community and has been serving the Ismaili community for over a decade in various leadership capacities. In her spare time Zehra enjoys reading realistic-fiction novels and loves walking the trails in our own backyard of beautiful BC with her family and dog.

As Manager, Professional Support for the Vancouver Core Branch of BMO Private Wealth, Pina McDonald supports a highly motivated, award-winning team of Senior Private Bankers, Senior Investment Counsellors and wealth specialists. This branch delivers comprehensive and integrated banking, investment management, estate and trust, philanthropy, and financial planning services with a strong level of engagement.

 

With many years of diverse experience within BMO, Pina brings invaluable knowledge. She helps to recruit and onboard new hires, mentors the Assistants and Associates who support the team’s Private Bankers, Investment Counsellors and Trust Officers on operational activities and supervises their performance, is a subject matter expert on business applications and systems, ensures the branch complies with internal and external regulations, solves problems, assists with financial management and budget tracking, and helps to implement operational programs, strategic initiatives and technology rollouts.
