Tom moved to Waterloo in 2010. He comes to us from BMO Nesbitt Burns in Toronto where he was a senior business development manager in our Head Office's Managed Assets Group. Tom brings with him, 20 years of experience in developing customized portfolio solutions for investment advisors at BMO Nesbitt Burns.

Tom was born and raised in England and was educated at the University of Birmingham. He immigrated to Canada in 2001.

As a proud kidney transplant recipient, he is a supporter of both the Canadian Transplant Association and the Kidney Foundation.

In his spare time, Tom enjoys spending time at the family farm with his wife and two children.

Joel Widmeyer

Joel graduated from the University of Waterloo with a B.A. in Economics, then headed straight to Bay St. to start his financial career in the Nesbitt Burns Compliance department. After achieving the Divisional Compliance officer title, Joel pursued the opportunity to return to his home town in Waterloo, as an Associate Investment Advisor.

In 2013, he joined forces with Tom Norton and together they created the Norton-Widmeyer Advisory. Over the years, Joel has accumulated many industry accreditations, including the Professional Financial Planning Course, Insurance Advisor and BMO’s Ultra High Net Worth training.

Joel specializes in building custom portfolios for clients, maximizing local investment opportunities, global asset structures and tax-efficient vehicles. As a result, he is able to offer many wealth management options to clients both nationally and internationally.

During his spare time Joel enjoys spending time with his wife Melanie and children, Henry and Lauren. As a former varsity hockey player, he enjoys coaching kids and competing in a variety of sports. When he is not busy on a sports field, he can often be found perfecting a recipe in his bbq smoker.

Jesse is a driven wealth professional, who held a variety of roles in the BMO retail branch, before he was recruited to join Norton-Widmeyer Advisory (NWA) in 2012.

Jesse has always had a passion for learning. After graduating from University of Guelph with a Bachelor of Commerce degree, he went on to complete many more industry courses and certifications. Jesse most recently achieved his Certified Financial Planning Designation, in addition to obtaining his Canadian Options License.

Alongside Tom and Joel, Jesse provides a full spectrum of wealth management expertise to both existing and prospective clients. Jesse is a key contributor to portfolio construction and ongoing portfolio management. Jesse focuses on having a comprehensive understanding of all NWA clients.

Jesse is married to his wife Ally, and is an animal lover; he lives in Uptown Waterloo with his cat and two dogs. During his spare time, Jesse enjoys spending time with family and friends, golfing, traveling, dining at local restaurants and volunteering within the community. Jesse currently sits on the board of directors of the Alzheimer's Society of Waterloo Wellington, he is also the Treasurer for Kitchener Waterloo Oktoberfest.

Aline joined Norton-Widmeyer Advisory in January 2014. She came to us from BMO Harris Private Banking where she held the position as Portfolio Assistant. With that, she brings over 15 years of experience in the financial services industry in various roles.

Aline graduated from University of Guelph with a Bachelor of Commerce degree. She also obtained a diploma from Conestoga College in Business Administration: Management Studies.

As an Investment Representative, Aline provides our clients with peace of mind by managing the day-to-day customer service requirements. In addition, Aline leads our marketing activities and various project management tasks.

In her spare time, Aline enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband, two sons and daughter. She can also speak fluently in Armenian.

Lori Ann joined Norton-Widmeyer Advisory in March of 2018. She came to us from BMO Bank of Montreal where she held various roles over 18 years in financial services. When she joined Norton-Widmeyer she pursued her Registered Investment Representative licensing. Lori Ann now has over 23 years of industry experience including managerial and leadership experience.

At Norton-Widmeyer Advisory, Lori Ann works as an Investment Representative and provides a client focused approach to her role. Lori Ann is dedicated to helping her clients navigate the investment process by managing transactions, executing Investment Policies, administrative requests and providing top level client service support while leveraging her experience and network connections within Bank of Montreal.

During her spare time Lori Ann enjoys spending time with her husband and son at their cottage on the Bruce Peninsula.

Christine began her career in the financial services industry in 2008 when she joined Bank of Montreal. In 2017 she transitioned to BMO Nesbitt Burns where she pursued her Registered Investment Representative industry licensing by completing the Canadian Securities Course, Conducts and Practices Course and Investment Representative program.

Christine joined the Norton-Widmeyer in October 2019 and helps to manage the ongoing administration of the business while ensuring clients receive exceptional levels of service.

In her spare time Christine enjoys spending time with her husband and their 2 sons.
