Tom Christie has made a name for himself in the Calgary financial services community with a career spanning more than three decades, the majority of which has been with BMO Nesbitt Burns. While possessing in-depth overall business expertise and insight, he has particular skills in the areas of wealth creation and preservation. He has authored numerous articles on these subjects in leading wealth management periodicals and is widely acknowledged as an industry expert.

Tom possesses the type of highly analytical mind that makes him ideally suited to the complexities of today’s investment industry. Tom is an alumnus of the University of Calgary, where he graduated with an honours degree in Economics. In his spare time, depending on the season, he can be found on the golf links, hitting the bike trails or in the mountains partaking in some of Alberta’s world-class skiing.

Anna Competrini, BSc, CIM®

With more than 25 years of direct investment management experience, Anna has honed a professional approach that has come to serve both her and her clients exceptionally well: to initially focus on suitable asset allocation, then develop a diversified portfolio that delivers on short-, mid- and long-term goals.

Anna attended Laurentian University and soon after graduation began her financial investment career with Merrill Lynch Royal Securities. She joined BMO Nesbitt Burns 1984 and became a valued member of the Christie & Associates team in 1990.

When not working on her client’s behalf, she explores her creative side with her enjoyment of music, art and cooking. Working out, golfing and walking are activities she enjoys as well. Last but not least, Anna greatly enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Stuart Wigmore, BBA, CIM®

Stuart has nearly 20 years of experience in the financial services industry and has been a valued member of the BMO Nesbitt Burns family since 2010. He has built his professional reputation by following a disciplined approach to portfolio management and assuring that every client investment strategy is aligned with short- and long-term objectives.

Stuart is a graduate of Acadia University and holds the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®) designation, a leading industry standard recognized by Canadian securities regulators. Those who have passed the rigorous standards for this designation have proven they possess the skills and knowledge to evaluate and manage the most complex aspects of financial investment.

When not furthering the financial interests of his clients, Stuart spends time golfing, mountain biking or skiing, often in the company of his wife Carolyn, two children (Cruz and Remi) and black lab Bodhi.

Austen is a graduate of the University of Lethbridge where he received his Bachelor of Management with a Major in Marketing and a Minor in International Management, which allowed him to study in Nagoya Japan. Austen has augmented his credentials by becoming a licensed insurance broker, has completed the Canadian Securities Course (CSC®), and is committed to advancing his career in the investment industry through continuing education.

Austen is a highly motivated individual with an uncompromising work ethic and is always looking for new ways to achieve the best results for his clients. A competitive athlete, his experience as both a player and coach have taught him valuable lessons in developing and maintaining winning attitudes and strategies for personal growth and success. He knows how to make valuable contributions to a team; lessons he puts to use daily in his career with Christie & Associates.

When not studying to further his investment acumen, he can be found pursing his passions for sports, cooking up a storm in his kitchen, or out enjoying a walk or run with his dog Maya.

Jaclyn Albrechtsen, BA, BComm

Jaclyn is a graduate of The University of Manitoba where she received an Advanced Bachelor of Arts degree in Econometrics (the use of statistical methods to develop theories or test existing hypotheses in economics or finance) and a minor in Management. She is also a graduate of the Asper School of Business, with a double major in Finance and International Business. Committed to building a successful career in finance and investing, she is completing the Canadian Securities Course (CSC®) as she actively seeks to grow her industry knowledge.

Jaclyn’s previous experience in customer relations serves her exceptionally well as a member of the Christie & Associates team. She is a team player with a commitment to service excellence and tackles new challenges with enthusiasm and a commitment to success.

Jaclyn formerly played competitive golf but now plays for personal enjoyment. She is an avid sports fan and enjoys the many outdoor recreational opportunities that Calgary offers.
