Garett has spent his career building investment portfolios, managing wealth, and helping people make smarter decisions with their money. He joined BMO Nesbitt Burns in 1996 after graduating with his Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Manitoba. Over the following 20 plus years, he has earned the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) and Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI) designations from the Canadian Securities Institute.
Active in the community, Garett sits as Chair of the Canadian Mental Health Association Manitoba and Winnipeg, as well as several committees with United Way Winnipeg.
When not at work, Garett can be found with his wife and two children biking through the streets of Wolseley, working in the garden, or relaxing at Victoria Beach.
Tim Mahoney, CIM
Investment Advisor, Portfolio Manager
Tim Mahoney is an Investment Advisor and Portfolio Manager with over 20 years’ experience with BMO Nesbitt Burns. Tim works with his clients to develop a comprehensive Family Wealth Plan with a particular focus on Retirement Income Planning. He holds a Chartered Investment Manager designation.
In his off time Tim enjoys travel and gardening with his wife Colleen, playing hockey and of course his two Pugs. Both Tim and Colleen are proud Leaders with the United Way.
Scott is an Associate with over 10 years of industry experience. After graduating from business school, he has spent his career building financial plans and specializes in wealth planning for millennial business owners/dentists. Scott is currently working towards his Personal Financial Planner (PFP) designation.
Outside of the world of finance, Scott, Courtney, and their son Jason enjoy spending time at the family cottage, fishing, playing Ultimate Frisbee, and caring for their two dogs Kaia and Flint.

I have an undergraduate degree from the University of Manitoba in Economics and I am a Branch Compliance Officer. I am a member of the Women Business Owners of Manitoba and a Board Member of Community Financial Counselling Services in Winnipeg.

Shane is a Certified Financial Planner and a Trust and Estate Practitioner. He is passionate about financial and estate planning and has experience providing wealth advise to clients for over 15 years which is further strengthened by his past experience of leading over 30 wealth advisory (professional) teams. Shane has been featured in the Winnipeg Free Press as a financial expert and also authored the book “A Planner Retirement Journey".

I will illustrat e how an insurance strategy can preserve or enhance your estate, provide protection and risk management solutions in the event of critical illness or disability, and look after your family in the event of your untimely death.
