Steve O’Neil, CFA

Investment Advisor

Steve has over two decades of investment management experience across a diverse set of progressively senior roles. He has advised high net worth families, financed small and medium sized enterprises, managed multi billion dollar syndicated loan portfolios, and led deal teams structuring complex financing solutions for major M&A transactions.

During his time on the institutional side, Steve experienced firsthand the value of working with a trusted advisor. After many years of balancing a high demand job while managing his own personal portfolio, he transitioned to a high net worth advisor and immediately recognized the benefit of having a sophisticated professional managing his wealth—allowing him to be more fully present in the rest of his life.

Today, he has returned to his true passion: helping individuals and families build resilient, goals aligned investment strategies with a strong emphasis on tax efficient portfolio construction. Steve is committed to helping clients grow, protect, and transition their wealth, ensuring every recommendation is personalized and grounded in a long term, comprehensive wealth plan.

He often recalls advice from a mentor: “If you hired an engineer to build your home and they told you the plans were all in their head, would you feel comfortable? Of course not—and your life plans should be no different.” A thoughtfully constructed plan clarifies what truly matters, keeps you aligned with your goals, and gives you the confidence of knowing you’re prepared for whatever life brings.

Steve holds a degree in Math and Economics from Dalhousie University and is a CFA charterholder—widely recognized as the gold standard in portfolio management. He combines his analytical background with an appreciation for the deeply personal nature of investing, emphasizing clear, transparent communication throughout the advisory relationship.

Outside of work, Steve enjoys travelling and spending time with his family at their home on the lake. He has been fortunate to explore much of the world, both personally and professionally—from free diving in the Gili Islands and watching the sunrise from the Costa Rican jungle to touring mine sites in the Peruvian mountains and visiting the construction of Manhattan West in New York City. He’s always eager to discover new places and welcomes any recommendations for future adventures.
