Steve started in the investment industry with BMO Nesbitt Burns in 1992. His extensive background in financial services includes commercial banking, as well as numerous industry courses and designations including Wealth Advisor and Portfolio Manager. He is also The Springstead Allidina Wealth Team’s leader. Steve holds an MBA in Finance from McMaster University.

Steve believes in providing lifetime trusted financial advice, which allows his clients to focus on the things that are important to them. This had led to developing a unique, holistic approach to wealth management, including investment planning, retirement planning, retirement cashflow planning and estate planning. This helps his clients have the confidence and ability to meet their financial goals and to provide a legacy for their families.

As a team leader, Steve believes in a sound succession plan to ensure clients will always have trusted advice throughout their lifetime. In addition, he has developed a well-defined, written Service Commitment to ensure that his clients are always kept up-to-date on their planning and investments.

Steve loves life in Mississauga, where he lives with his wife Jennifer, and two sons, Sean and Jake.Steve dabbles in numerous sporting activities, loves to travel and has even taken up guitar and photography in recent years!

Abbas is a graduate from the University of Waterloo, attaining an Honors Bachelor of Arts in Economics with a specialization in Finance. Abbas has over 8 years of industry experience, most recently as a Financial Planner at BMO Bank of Montreal, advising professionals and families on a wide variety of wealth management strategies. Abbas finished second overall amongst planners in the country both in 2013 and 2014 and was also awarded the Reader’s Choice award for the Best Financial Planner in 2015 by the Burlington Post. He has completed numerous industry courses and holds the Professional Financial Planner (PFP) designation. Abbas joined The Springstead Allidina Wealth Team in 2015.

Abbas takes pride in ensuring the goals of his clients are met, while concurrently educating his clients and keeping them involved in the financial planning process. His focus is on wealth management, specifically investment and retirement planning in order to take his clients to and through retirement, culminating in estate planning. He strongly believes in regular communication to facilitate a transparent partnership.

During his spare time, Abbas enjoys spending time with his wife Fatema, and his two little kids Zaynab and Husayn. He enjoys travelling, the occasional round of golf and is currently playing on a softball league.

Genny joined The Springstead Allidina Wealth Team in August 2015, having completed the Canadian Securities Course and earning the title of Associate Investment Advisor. Prior to this, Genny has worked in the financial services industry since 2001, most recently as a Branch Manager for a Credit Union. Genny graduated from Ryerson with a B.A.

As Associate Investment Advisor for The Springstead Allidina Wealth Team, Genny provides high quality administrative and organizational services to our clients. With the utmost care and professionalism, she responds to issues and questions regarding our client’s accounts.

Genny resides in the Halton Region with her family. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, the company of good friends and staying active.

In the role of Administrative Assistant, Nadia quarterbacks all of the meetings, calls and follow-ups for our clients. She brings more than 30 years of experience in financial services. Nadia’s dynamic personality combined with her superior communication and relationship skills, rounds out our team’s commitment to create excellent client experiences.

Nadia started on the retail side in 1985. She went on to join an advisory team in 1996 who in 2008 transferred to BMO Nesbitt Burns. She was Operations Manager for 3 years and in November of 2015 joined The Springstead Allidina Wealth Team.

After 41 years of living in Mississauga she made the move to Vaughan. In her spare time she enjoys spending quality time with family and friends. She is an avid concert goer and in a quieter atmosphere enjoys reading. In the past few years, she has participated and completed the 60K Walk to Conquer Cancer and multiple 5K walks for Cancer Research.
