John began his Financial Services career in 1981 with Coopers and Lybrand where he obtained his Chartered Accounting designation (1983). Early in his career he held a number of Senior Executive positions in the Financial Services industry including Chief Financial Officer and President of a Canadian Chartered Bank. In 1999 he returned to Orillia to open the BMO Nesbitt Burns office and for the last 24 years he has been providing Investment and Financial Advice to a wide range of Individual and Corporate clients. Today, Mayo Marck Wilson Wealth Management manages in excess of $500 million of Investment assets for clients, primarily located in and around Orillia and Simcoe county

John has been an active participant in the Orillia community as a member and past president of the Kiwanis Club of Orillia and a volunteer with Orillia Big Brothers Big Sisters. He also held Director positions with Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital Foundation and Project Umbrella Burma. John and his wife Margaret are long-term residents of Orillia – his four daughters were all raised in the Orillia community prior to leaving to pursue their post-secondary education.

Robert joined the team in April of 2016 after close to ten years of working in Toronto's Financial District. Robert brings a wealth of experience to the team with an expertise in equity analysis and portfolio management. Roberts' previous roles included working at investment banks and brokerage houses, primarily providing investment guidance to institutional investors. Robert was most recently employed as a Manager of North American Equities providing equity analysis and investment guidance to over 800 investment advisors. Robert also served on an investment committee which managed approximately $400 million in discretionary assets. Robert graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2009 with an MBA in Financial Management, earned his CPA in 2012 and was awarded the CFA Charter in 2015. Robert currently lives in Simcoe County with his wife Pamela, his daughter Sienna and his son Logan.

Laura had worked with BMO Private Wealth for over a decade, providing high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth wealth planning expertise. She recently joined the Mayo & Associates team as a dedicated team member and Investment Associate. Her education and professional experience have equipped her with the skills to help her clients achieve their financial goals and manage their wealth effectively. Her focus on building strong relationships with her clients has allowed her to develop personalized and effective financial plans that help them achieve their financial goals and objectives.

Before joining BMO Private Wealth, Laura spent ten years in commercial banking, providing consulting and financing to Canadian business owners. Her experience in this area has given her a deep understanding of business owners' unique financial needs and challenges.

Laura is actively involved in the community. She co-founded a local charity cycling event that raises funds for Parkinson's. She is also a former board member of the Rotary Club of Collingwood - South Georgian Bay Club and a former Big Brothers Big Sisters volunteer.

Laura earned her Honours Bachelor of Business Administration Co-op degree with distinction from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2001. She is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and a Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP).

Barbara first joined BMO Nesbitt Burns Orillia branch in 2000 and has held many roles since then within the branch. Barbara was born and raised in the Orillia area and attended Patrick Fogarty Secondary School.  She graduated from the University of Western Ontario and has been working in the Financial Services industry for over 25 years.  In the winter you can find Barbara in local hockey rinks and basketball courts cheering on her two children, and summers are enjoyed getting outdoors with her family.

Randi was born and raised in Orillia and graduated from Lakehead University, where she earned her Honours Bachelor in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in International Conflict and Human Rights. Here, she deepened her passion for helping others, volunteering in the community, and beginning her career in the financial industry as a customer service representative. Randi is an avid traveller, with one of her largest excursions involving backpacking across Europe before joining the Nesbitt Burns Mayo Marck Wilson Wealth Management team.

Katie joined our Orillia branch in 2018, bringing her extensive customer service experience and becoming a licensed Investment Representative in 2019. Originally from Huntsville, she enjoys outdoor activities with her partner, Kenney, and they recently welcomed their first child. Now back from maternity leave, Katie continues to deliver attentive and personalized service to our clients
