Meet Our Team

Mark would be the key point of contact for the accounts and is based locally in Saint John. The Anderson name is well-known in the financial community as Mark’s father, Doug Anderson, worked at BMO Nesbitt Burns Investment Advisor for over 50 years. Together they formed Anderson Wealth Advisory Group and worked together for over a decade until Doug’s retirement in 2019.

Mark’s interest in all things financial began at a very young age and he received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Saint Francis Xavier in 1998. His career began at BMO Nesbitt Burns one month after graduating. In 2020, Mark Earned his Certified Investment Manager and Portfolio Manager designation. Prior to joining BMO Nesbitt Burns, Mark owned and operated a full-service lawn care and landscaping company which employed over 4 people and served over 150 households. 

His wife, Lauren, is Family CEO of the Anderson Household and they have two children, Reese and Hunter.

As the cornerstone of our client service experience, Melissa leads our administrative hub. She is your go-to when you have questions, requests, or need help doing things. A very diligent self-starter with a fantastic work ethic, Melissa is personable and dependable – clients consistently praise her responsiveness, attention to detail, and genuine commitment to exceeding their expectations. She gets things done!

Originally from Saint John, Melissa graduated as an Honour Student from the New Brunswick Community College Investment Management program and has over six years of experience in the industry. She joined BMO Nesbitt Burns in 2018 and the Anderson Wealth Advisory Group in 2020.

Melissa focuses on building relationships and easily makes connections across the BMO network of wealth specialists to ensure our clients receive coordinated, comprehensive wealth management support. Her passion and drive have been recognized through multiple internal spotlight awards, most recently the BMO Private Wealth Regional Achievement Award in 2023.

Melissa lives in Hampton with her husband Nick and their two kids, Nicholas and Autumn. Her organizational skills translate well to her volunteer work for the Hampton Minor Hockey and Minor Baseball Associations. When they’re not volunteering, Melissa and her husband are loyal spectators at their kids’ games and always enjoy spending time together.
