Meet Our Team

Kelly Haefling

Wealth Advisor

Kelly’s experience in the Financial Services Industry spans over 30+ years with BMO Financial Group.   After progressing through many roles in retail banking she left my last role as Area Manager in 2007 to   join Nesbitt Burns as an Investment Advisor. The combination of past experience and her continuing education allows her to work closely with clients to understand the challenges they face and work  together on financial solutions specific to their needs.

As a Wealth Advisor with BMO Nesbitt Burns, she is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER professional and also an Insurance Advisor with BMO Nesbitt Burns Financial Services Inc.

My first job and what it taught me:
My first job was at the Owen Sound Golf and Country Club and my role was to get member’s golf clubs from storage and ready when they arrived, clean and put away as well as sales in the Clubhouse. This position taught me about professionalism, relationships with members but most importantly anticipating other needs even when they didn’t verbalize them or sometimes even know what was available to them. Proactive service and advice is important  in my relationships with clients every day.

Best advice:
I have been fortunate to have many great mentors during my life who have shared their wisdom and advice.  One example of advice I received during my lifetime that resonates with me still today and is helpful in both my professional as well as personal life was “listening means taking the time to consider what someone is saying and not just their words."

Community involvement:
I am a board member for the Owen Sound Regional Hospital Foundation, a Member of the Owen Sound Regional Hospital Investment Committee and a member of Kiwanis. As a season ticket holder of the Attack we enjoy supporting our local OHL Team as well as billeting 2 Attack players. I enjoy my time with these organizations and giving back to the community in various events, as well as being a sponsor for the Chamber of Commerce Award of Excellence for non-for-profit organizations.
Outside of work I enjoy travelling, spending time with my husband Pat, my 3 children and their partners, and my 2 grandsons.

Andrew Haefling

Certified Financial Planner

Andrew Haefling started with BMO in 2014 where he was an Investment Specialist with BMO InvestorLine. After that he moved on to be a Financial Planner with BMO Financial Group before joining BMO Nesbitt Burns as an Investment Advisor in 2018. Andrew is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER and graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University majoring in Honours Economics and Financial  Management.

My first job and what it taught me:
My first job was at a discount brokerage with BMO InvestorLine and it taught me a lot about human behaviour when it came to money. I saw how clients can act emotionally with the fluctuations in the markets and sell their investments at the wrong time or make decisions without considering their tax situation or long term goals.

Best advice received:
The best advice I ever received was when I was playing hockey and my coaches used to say if I wasn’t putting in the work to be better, someone else was. It made me strive to be a better hockey player while growing up but it taught me that hard work and dedication will go a long way to help you achieve your goals and to be successful.

Community involvement:
- I am a member at Legacy Ridge Golf Club
- Play in the Owen Sound Men’s Hockey and Slo-Pitch Leagues
- Participate in the Meaford Hospital Foundation Harbour 5k Run and the BMO Walk so Kids can Talk event

Beverly Dack

Investment Representative

Beverly started out in the investment industry 31 years ago. Her background includes working for 11 years as the Branch Administrator when the Guelph office of BMO Nesbitt Burns was first opened. Her wealth of experience and thorough approach provides clients with the high level of service they expect and deserve.  Beverly oversees all aspects of Haefling Wealth Advisory Group’s day-to-day operations, including account administration, money movement, and reporting. She is a licensed Investment Representative and can execute any solicited market orders.

First memory of money and what it taught me:
I worked at a high end clothing store when I was young. I loved clothes and the store allowed me to put anything I wanted on a charge account.  When the time came for me to quit my job and move on to my next position they allowed me to keep the charge account open - but I was smart enough to realize that I didn’t want to carry that debt, that I was better off using my final wages to pay off that final balance. That was my first experience with buying something on credit.
