After graduating from the University of Toronto in 2001 with a Bachelor of Commerce degree, Joey received his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® designation, along with the PFP certificate. He has over 14 years helping clients manage their investments and build their wealth. In 2018 Joey, together with Wilson Lai, helped to found JPWL Wealth Management Group, an advisory team build upon the principles of respect, integrity and diligence.
 
Joey lives with his wife Ann in Oakville with their two beautiful daughters. Outside of work, he is involved locally in his church and several other charitable organizations. When time allows, he enjoys sports such as golf, basketball, tennis and fishing.

Wilson Lai

Investment Advisor

Wilson is a graduate of the University of Toronto where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. In addition to his degree, he has also attained his Professional Financial Planner Designation. After finishing his education Wilson entered into the financial services industry. Since then he has worked with such companies as Canada Trust, CT Securities, TD Waterhouse and RBC. Wilson joined BMO back in 2002 as a Senior Financial Planner, specializing in both financial and retirement planning. Wilson lives with his wife and their two sons. Away from work Wilson enjoys traveling and playing golf. He’s also a fan of both the Toronto Blue Jays and Toronto Raptors.

Chris Hanna

Associate Investment Advisor

Chris joined BMO Nesbitt Burns in 1999 after graduating from McMaster University with an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree.  As an Associate Investment Advisor, he is fully involved in all stages of the investment process. His attention to detail and problem solving skills, make him an invaluable member of the team. Chris was born and raised in Oakville. He currently resides in Toronto with his wife Melanie and children Joshua and Taylor. Outside of the office Chris enjoys spending time with family and keeping active playing hockey & golf.

Kimberly Ayala

Administrative Assistant

After graduating from Ryerson University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Early Childhood Education, she worked as Early Childhood Educator in various daycare settings for 3 years. She completed a certificate course in Communicative Disorders at Durham College in 2010.  Kim worked along side Speech-Language Pathologists, as a Communicative Disorders Assistant in complex continuing care centres, to provide support and therapy for individuals experiencing communication and swallowing difficulties.

 

Kim joined BMO Nesbitt Burns in 2019 and has been a valuable addition to the JPWL Wealth Management Group in 2021.  Her experience and knowledge of the firms operations vastly improves our client service experience.

 

Kim resides in Mississauga with her husband and two daughters. Out of the office, Kim enjoys travelling, baking and trying new foods and restaurants.
