Bio

With over 25 years experience in the financial industry, I joined BMO Nesbitt Burns in January 2015 after working 13 years with a major global investment management institution. I am a portfolio manager and hold the distinctive Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®) designation. I also hold a Bachelor of Commerce (major in Finance) from Concordia University and an MBA from McGill University. I’ve been involved in our local schools where I was chairman of the Honoré Mercier School governing board from 2001 to 2016 and the vice-chairman of the Vincent Massey Collegiate governing board from 2010 to 2016. In my leisure time, I enjoy skiing with my three kids, playing hockey in a garage league that I founded more than 25 years ago and simply spending time with family and friends.

Sonia has been in the financial field since 2010 and joined BMO Nesbitt Burns in July 2022.

She is responsible for the day-to-day administration of accounts, updates, transfers of securities and liquidity between financial institutions and everything related to administration, with all the expertise and professionalism possible.

She has successfully completed courses in the securities industry including the Canadian Securities Course.
