Doug McArthur

Investment Advisor and Financial Planner

I specialize in creating tax friendly reliable income streams for my clients with a focus on risk management. It’s a simple approach that I have followed for over 25 years as an Investment Advisor.

However, one person alone cannot meet everyone’s needs and that’s why I am so proud of the strong team at BMO Nesbitt Burns. Our team can help you with specialized financial planning, mortgages, insurance, and day to day banking for our high-net-worth clients.

In a previous career in the television news industry, I learned the importance of listening carefully to people, and I have a strong conviction that there is no such thing as a one-size-fits all investment solution. Each person’s needs are different, and I make sure to take the time to discover these needs with my clients.

I am a strong believer in Community Service, and have served on multiple Lethbridge Boards and Committees, including Crime Stoppers; Lethbridge Symphony; the Rotary Club of Lethbridge; the Lethbridge College Wine Auction Committee, the University of Lethbridge Board of Governors, and Lethbridge Family Services.

Brittany Martens

Senior Client Service Associate

Brittany started her career working at the retail branch of the Bank of Montreal in 2013, where she held several positions. Her last held position was that of Financial Services Coordinator, where her responsibilities included welcoming clients to the bank, booking appointments, as well as providing support to the Financial Service Managers. She was also responsible for daily audit and compliance tasks. This position helped her to grow her knowledge of the Bank of Montreal’s businesses and to anticipate various clients’ needs. Brittany enjoyed this role as she formed relationships with the clients and became a strong team player within BMO, which made for an easy transition to the Wealth Management side of the Bank of Montreal, here at BMO Nesbitt Burns.

In 2016, Brittany joined BMO Nesbitt Burns, working as an assistant for multiple advisors, utilizing her skills to quickly form and develop good rapport with many of our clients. By working with various advisors, Brittany quickly got exposure to multiple advisory practices and dealt with various clients. This grew her familiarity with Wealth Management quickly, and Brittany succeeded immediately in the role.

Brittany prides herself on her efficiency, quick response and turn around time on tasks and inquiries from our clients. Working now as a Sr. Client Services Associate, Brittany is an integral part of the administration, marketing and client service support for our valued clients.
On a more personal note, Brittany has lived in and around Lethbridge her entire life and when she is not at work she enjoys spending time with her husband and two kids.
