Chris Jefford

Portfolio Manager, Investment Advisor

Chris has worked in the financial services industry since 2007, and with BMO Nesbitt Burns since 2019.  He is a Financial Planner and Portfolio Manager, offering discretionary investment management to his clients.

He holds the Certified Financial Planner and Chartered Investment Manager designations, and is also a graduate of the University of Guelph, majoring in economics and finance.  He continues his professional development to expand his skill set and stay on top of industry changes.

Chris helps his clients by helping them organize their finances, grow their assets, minimize taxes, and avoid unnecessary or unwanted risks.  In his experience, most people spend a lot of time making and spending their money, but very little on managing what is left.  Chris feels fortunate for having a talent and passion for helping people do just that.

Chris is a strong believer in the value of financial planning.  A financial plan is simply a written document that takes a big picture look at your financial situation, both now and in the future.  It all begins with a conversation about you, your goals, and what’s most important to you.

Clients choose to work with Chris for a few key reasons:

1. Trust matters, and I am here for the right reasons
2. You can be confident our team has the skills to get the job done
3. I understand you need to see what’s in it for you.  Our work is about more than just money, it’s about your life.

When he’s not at work, Chris spends his spare time ATVing, fishing or relaxing by the lake.  Chris is also an avid reader, and enjoys spending time with his family & friends, as well as his two dogs.
