Brad is a Sr. Portfolio Manager at BMO Nesbitt Burns. In his tenure at Nesbitt, Brad has built a client-centred business – this continues to be the motivating force behind Carter Mathewson Amiot Wealth to this day.

Brad holds the highest designations conferred by the Canadian Securities Institute – Canadian Investment Manager (CIM). Additionally, he has successfully completed the Canadian Options Course and is insurance licensed. His role on the team includes formulating overall investment and portfolio strategy.

Martin Mathewson.

Martin’s primary focus is helping clients make confident financial decisions through personalized advice, disciplined investment strategies, and a long-term focus on what matters most to them.

Since joining the firm in 1997, Martin has built nearly three decades of experience supporting high-net-worth individuals and families as they navigate their financial lives. He takes pride in developing thoughtful, tailored strategies and providing comprehensive planning guidance that reflects each client’s unique goals, values, and priorities.

Martin holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Calgary and has been a CFA® charterholder since 2003, underscoring his commitment to professional excellence and disciplined investment management.

Outside of the office, Martin’s life is centered around family. He and his wife, who owns and operates a local dance school, stay busy raising their three teenage daughters. This balance gives him a deep appreciation for the importance of planning, perspective, and making the most of every stage of life.

Markian Amiot.

Markian Amiot is dedicated to providing thoughtful investment advice, portfolio management and comprehensive financial planning, tailored to each family’s unique circumstances and long-term goals.

Markian brings a disciplined and analytical approach to his work, underpinned by his completion of the CFA program and his membership in the Calgary Society of Chartered Financial Analysts. He is also options and insurance licensed, allowing him to support clients with integrated, multi-dimensional solutions. He earned a double degree from the University of Calgary in 2008, graduating with Distinction with both a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.

Beyond his professional work, Markian is committed to giving back to the community. He actively supports the Alzheimer Society of Calgary, Made by Momma, and BMO Walk So Kids Can Talk in support of Kids Help Phone.

Markian’s greatest pride and joy is his family; he values the perspective and balance it brings to his role as a trusted advisor.

Colton brings a disciplined and highly structured approach to wealth management, helping clients simplify complex financial lives through proactive communication and dependable execution. He combines portfolio management with thoughtful, forward-looking planning to support informed decision-making at every stage.

Working with individuals, families, and business owners, Colton develops comprehensive wealth strategies that integrate investment management, financial planning, retirement planning, tax-efficient wealth transfer, and estate planning considerations. He helps clients navigate major life and business transitions with confidence while ensuring important details never fall through the cracks. Clients know that when something needs to happen, it gets done — and they hear about it before they have to ask.

As an Associate Portfolio Manager with more than a decade of experience in the wealth management industry, Colton is a CFA charterholder and CFP® professional, combining rigorous investment analysis with holistic financial planning to help clients make informed decisions.

Born and raised in Alberta, Colton is based in Calgary and works with clients across the country. Outside the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife and son, exploring the outdoors, and staying active with his dog, Peanut.

Driven to help people make confident decisions, she guides Clients through life’s financial complexity with clarity, disciplined investment management and proactive, integrated advice to provide confidence and peace of mind.

With over 20 years of wealth management experience, Bethany brings a distinctive blend of strategic insight and practical planning to help individuals and families achieve their goals. She works closely with Clients to deliver investment advice, comprehensive financial planning, life transition guidance, and estate planning strategies tailored to each family’s circumstances.  As a dual citizen with prior experience at a U.S. wealth management firm, Bethany offers a broad perspective shaped by diverse planning environments. This experience enhances her ability to anticipate complexity to deliver thoughtful, well coordinated solutions for her clients.

Bethany holds the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®) and Personal Financial Planner (PFP®) designations and is Insurance Licensed in the Province of Alberta. Originally from Ohio, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) from The Ohio State University’s Fisher College of Business.

As a Mom, she is passionate about supporting the BMO Walk So Kids Can Talk in support of the Kids Help Phone, Made by Momma, and Brown Bagging for Calgary’s Kids.

Jackie is a Client Service Associate at BMO Nesbitt Burns. Jackie graduated from the University of Calgary in 2014 with a Bachelor of Kinesiology with Distinction. She began her career as a bank teller, customer representative, and financial solution specialist. In 2017, she moved into the investment industry as a business administrative assistant before becoming licensed as a Client Service Associate.

David is a Client Service Associate with BMO Nesbitt Burns, and joined our team in 2024.

David graduated from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) from the Business Administration program, majoring in Marketing. David entered the investment industry in 2018 as a branch assistant. After obtaining his licensing, he transitioned into his current role as a Client Service Associate.

Nicole is a licensed Client Service Associate with BMO Nesbitt Burns.  She graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Commerce degrees. In 2013, she joined the financial industry as an Investment Associate in Private Wealth Management at another banking institution. In early 2025, Nicole joined our team.
