Abby earned the prestigious Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) designation in 2019 to bring clients a powerful combination of sincere personal dedication and process-driven financial rigour.

Abby advises families, professionals, business owners and corporate executives, delivering high-quality wealth solutions, insightful advice, timely communication, and authentic engagement. She will discover your values and priorities, apply a disciplined and objective approach to portfolio construction, and collaborate across the entire BMO organization to implement full financial planning to help you achieve a lifetime of goals. Her individualized wealth platforms consider portfolio construction, tax planning, and cash flow management within the context of your timelines to address your short, medium and long-term goals.

Abby worked with leading independent and bank-owned investment firms before joining BMO Nesbitt Burns in 2022. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Victoria Peter B. Gustavson School of Business with a specialization in Entrepreneurship. Demonstrating her pursuit of excellence across diverse disciplines, she won the Kyle McMillan Memorial Award in 2013 for leadership, academics, athletics, and public speaking. She also studied Economics for a semester at the University of Zurich.

Abby serves as Chair of Communications for the Calgary Stampede Downtown Attractions Committee and formerly volunteered for the BMO United Way Employee Giving Campaign and as a Stylist for Making Changes. She speaks at informal events at the University of Calgary and was invited to be a BMO Women in Wealth Ally at a roundtable with senior leadership in 2024. Abby speaks conversational French and Spanish. In her spare time, she enjoys travelling the world and staying active through kickboxing, skiing, hiking, and pilates, just to name a few of her favourite sports.

Lorna Brunsdon

Lorna brings a diverse professional and educational background that provides a unique perspective to the team. Having worked with BMO for over four years, Lorna has experience on both the retail banking side of the business, as well as Private Wealth. She prides herself on building strong relationships with clients and her expertise on the account-related administration. With a keen eye for detail and strong organization skills, Lorna assists the operation of the practice by facilitating client requests, preparing reporting, overseeing documentation, and managing the overall day-to-day administrative aspects of the practice.

Originally from Wales, Lorna moved to Calgary 14 years ago with her family. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with her husband, sons, and dogs.
