Iqbal Tejpar, CPA, CA, CFA

Senior Portfolio Manager

For over twenty years, Iqbal has been providing professional, private Portfolio Management to individuals, corporations, trusts, estates, foundations and endowments.


Upon earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Scotland, he trained to become a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland in 1987. Since 1991, Iqbal has also been a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia (ICABC), and in 1998, received the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.


Prior to joining BMO Nesbitt Burns, Iqbal was a Managing Director for a large investment counselling firm, where he was responsible for oversight of more than $1.5 Billion in client assets. He gained experience providing tax and financial planning advice to executives and higher-net-worth individuals in his earlier role as a senior manager with KPMG in Vancouver.


Iqbal has authored and presented courses on financial planning and wealth management for the ICABC. He has volunteered with CFA Institute, including as a member of the Board of Directors of CFA Vancouver, and as a member of CFA Institute's Disciplinary Review Committee ('DRC') from 2006 to 2012. Iqbal's commitment to ethics in the profession earned him a term as Deputy Chair of the DRC. Iqbal and his family live in North Vancouver, British Columbia, where he has served as Director and Treasurer of The Gordon and Marion Smith Foundation for Young Artists and for several years also served on the Board of Directors of The Capilano College Foundation.

Rene Dinter, CIM

Business Development

Rene brings to Private Wealth over 15 years of institutional investment expertise. His vast knowledge of capital markets and focus on positive client experiences, allows the team to provide exceptional service to discerning high net worth clients. Rene adds to the team’s investment process by assisting the team with portfolio construction, risk mitigation and tax management. His experience includes incorporating commodities, currencies, futures and options into portfolios. He has worked with structured notes, closed-end funds, alternative investments and exchange traded funds (ETFs).

Rene graduated from York University with an interdisciplinary degree combining Economics and Psychology. He still enjoys reading about the impact of business on society and the relationships between business, social structures and government. At York, he earned a Certificate in Business Fundamentals at the Schulich School of Business. Rene holds the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®) and Derivatives Market Specialist (DMS) designations from the Canadian Securities Institute. He has been featured as a speaker/moderator at industry conferences and investment seminars.

Rene lives in West Vancouver with his wife and two daughters. His hobbies include skiing, golfing, running and paddling. In his spare time, he also enjoys landscaping and woodworking.

Naqib Azad, BBA, CIM®

Associate Portfolio Manager

Naqib joined BMO Nesbitt Burns after graduating from Simon Fraser University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Business Administration. Naqib also holds the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®) designation from the Canadian Securities Institute. Naqib ensures that clients receive excellent service, manages the team’s operations, and creates financial plans for clients. Naqib brings technical analysis input to the team’s portfolio management process and manages trade execution.

Growing up in Kenya’s great Rift Valley, Naqib was an avid field hockey player. In university Naqib was very involved in student clubs and case competitions, especially Social Innovation. He was recognized for this work by being invited to be the graduand speaker at his SFU convocation ceremony. While at SFU he was a licensed Personal Trainer. Naqib has also obtained his Chartered Investment Management (CIM) Designation.

Outside of work, Naqib enjoys an active lifestyle and spends time in the gym and is a keen jet-ski rider and is also involved in the Ismaili community.

Sue Noorloos

Sue advises high net worth individuals and families on specialized estate and trust solutions as part of an intregrated wealth planning team. She advises clients on their complex estate planning to help them understand the different strategies that they can use to preserve family relations and maximize their wealth.

Prior to joining BMO Private Wealth, Sue gained invaluable experience at an Ontario law firm, where her practice focused on private client services including estate planning, trusts, wills and estate administration ranging from routine matters to complex multi-jursidictional estates. Sue previously worked with a large national trust company where she dealt with high net worth clients and advised them on their complex estate planning.

As an Associate Director, Trust Services and a key member of the Wealth Management team, Lisa works with individuals and families to simplify their complex matters. Lisa manages Estate and Trust accounts with a specialization in enCircle Services, overseeing financial, lifestyle and well-being solutions. She is well-versed in related fields and often works in tandem with client’s own legal and accounting advisors.
