A passionate advocate for women, Thalia is a founding member and current Chair of the Calgary Chapter of the International Women’s Forum Canada where she uses her influence to open doors for women in business. She has also been an active Rotarian for 15 years with the Rotary Club of Calgary, holding various roles within the organization including Program Committee Chair and Board Member of the Rotary Clubs of Calgary and Finance Committee Member and Board Member of the Rotary Clubs of Calgary Foundation.
Deeply competitive, both professionally and personally, Thalia has been selected for the BMO Nesbitt Burns President’s Council every year since 1994, is an Alumni of the Advanced Management Program at the Harvard Business School, was awarded Finalist in the 2018 Women in Wealth Management Award: Women-Led Advisory Team of the Year in Canada, is a Finalist in the 2019 Wealth Professional Awards: The NEI Investments Award for Advisor of the Year – Responsible Investments, and is a 7-time Boston Marathon finisher.

With an extensive background in accounting and financial services, Cheryl joined BMO Nesbitt Burns in 2003 where her genius for numbers met her passion for helping people.
As an Investment Advisor, Portfolio Manager, Cheryl is solution-oriented and thrives on helping clients achieve their financial goals through understanding the connection between today’s steps and the results that will follow in years to come.
Her methodical approach to financial planning encompasses helping clients define their retirement goals at the outset and creating detailed Retirement Plans and customized portfolios that are suitable for them to achieve their specific goals. She brings her clients full circle through estate planning, helping them define how they want their wealth handled and executing strategies so that their wishes for their estate are carried out.
Cheryl has a Certificate in Advanced Investment Advice, a Financial Management Advisor (FMA) designation and a Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®) designation from the Canadian Securities Institute, and a Masters of Arts in Theology from Briercrest Seminary.
While her best day includes creating beautiful portfolios or financial plans that demonstrate each clients’ personal financial goals being met, she also enjoys nature, going for walks, and spending time with family and friends.

Stacy Soutière is an Investment Advisor, Portfolio Manager, and Financial Planner at BMO Nesbitt Burns. With over a decade in the industry, she is highly empathetic to client needs and equally passionate about putting clients first.
Stacy loves hearing her clients’ stories and then helping them work out how their finances will look in future chapters. She excels in collaborating with other experts in their field to help clients connect all the dots of their financial plan. Stacy truly enjoys helping her clients not only make progress, but find confidence in their investing skills and financial literacy. She is known among the Kingsford team as being decidedly organized, supremely efficient, and the first one to dive into any task.
She holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University. In addition, she is a Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®) through the Canadian Securities Institute, a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) through the Financial Planning Standards Council, a Family Enterprise Advisor (FEA) through the Family Enterprise Xchange, and a Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) through the Canadian Council of Human Resources Associations.
Stacy is a dedicated athlete, addicted to swimming, snowboarding, and Tough Mudder obstacle runs. She has a soft spot for all canines, but it’s her rescue dog, Wally Waffles, that rules her heart. After waiting years to be adopted, Wally is now her constant companion.

Having completed the Canadian Securities Courses 1 and 2 (CSC) and the Wealth Management Essentials Course (WME), Anna is an integral part of the Kingsford team, making it her goal to “fulfill above and beyond” each client’s expectations while supporting the team in meeting their varying day-to-day needs.
Growing up in New Zealand, Anna pursued many outdoor adventures. You’ll often find her in the garden where Anna cultivates native medicinal plants and grows her own organic vegetables.

Shawna Albornoz, MTI, TEP, EPC

Shawna Albornoz is the Vice President of Trust Services (Prairies) with BMO Trust Company, the fiduciary arm of the BMO Financial Group. Shawna has been in the Estate and Trust Industry since 2001 and she has administered over 130 Estate, Trust, Power of Attorney, and charitable foundation accounts during her career.
Through her experience as a corporate Executor and Trustee for high net worth clients, she has acquired the expertise to help families effectively plan for the transfer of wealth to the next generation and deal with all fiduciary responsibilities. Shawna holds her MTI designation from the Canadian Securities Institute, she is a member of The Society of Estate and Trust Practitioners (STEP), an international professional organization dedicated to promoting financial and estate planning considerations between generations, and is a member of the Calgary Estate Planning Council (EPC).
Sarah King, BComm (Fin), PFP
Estate & Insurance Advisor
Sarah graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Commerce, with a focus on Finance and Risk Management. She joined the financial industry in 2006 and quickly realized that helping clients was where she wanted to be. She went on to obtain her Professional Financial Planner designation, and is committed to furthering her education in the field.
Sarah has enjoyed a very successful and impressive career to date, being a leading professional consultant in the insurance industry for a major financial services firm over the past 10 years. With over 12 years of experience in the Wealth Management industry, Sarah believes in long term, trusting relationships and works closely with advisors and their clients to provide customized solutions and strategies to meet their specific goals. Her solutions focus on minimizing the client’s risk, protecting their assets, and growing their estate. She provides each advisor and their clients with professional customer service and efficient timelines. Sarah is able to provide advice on Life Insurance, Critical Illness, Disability and Long Term Care.
Laurie Sibille, CFP®, BComm (Fin)
Senior Private Banker, BMO Private Banking
After joining BMO in 2000, Laurie moved to Private Banking in 2006 as a Lending Specialist and subsequently to her current role as Senior Private Banker in 2007. Laurie is well known for her collaborative approach to working internally with Nesbitt Burns Investment Advisors and their clients to meet both their day-to-day banking needs and their more complex requirements. She is committed to providing an exceptional client experience through solutions and strategies that help them meet their financial goals.
Laurie received her Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Saskatchewan with a Major in Finance. She is also a CFP charter holder and CIFP Association Member.
Private Banker, BMO Private Banking
Carla began her career in the banking industry in 2007 and has experience in retail, small business, and wealth management. She joined BMO in 2017, working primarily with high net worth individuals and families, managing their day-to-day banking, and providing tailored solutions to increase their overall wealth.
Previously, she held progressively senior positions in the Financial Services industry, including Senior Personal Banker and Financial Solutions Specialist, before transitioning into Wealth Management. Carla is well-regarded in the industry for her professionalism, work ethic, and client-centric approach, as well as her community involvement.
Lending Specialist, BMO Bank of Montreal
Karina is one of our dedicated BMO Bank of Montreal Lending Specialists servicing Calgary & Southern Alberta. She has been giving clients sound advice for over 24 years. During this time she has developed the financial strategies and product knowledge necessary to offer the best solutions for those that are interested in Loans, Lines of Credit, or Mortgages.
Karina’s main focus is Mortgages, Lines of Credit (both secured and unsecured) and Home Equity Lines and she is happy to discuss products and options at any time. She will explain complex mortgage terms and conditions in clear and basic language and can assist with other types of financing and personal loans for you and your family.
Kimiko Comeau, BA, BComm, CFA

Kimiko is part of the Business Advisory & Succession Planning team, which provides high net worth business owners in transition with a sophisticated, forward-thinking wealth management plan. She works with individuals and business owners in the areas of business succession, transition, sale, mergers & acquisitions, and valuations for the purposes of wealth planning and transfer. Kimiko is an experienced business advisor who brings more than 10 years of technical and business planning expertise to BMO Wealth Management.
Kimiko joined BMO Wealth Management in 2018 after more than a decade as a mid-market M&A advisor at a Big 4 professional services firm. With a focus on sell-side advisory services for private Alberta-based companies, Kimiko has worked with companies in a range of industries including oil and gas services, manufacturing, distribution, and construction. Kimiko has advised on complex transactions including sales to financial and strategic buyers, management buyouts, and shareholder disputes.
