Tammy Slugoski

Portfolio Manager

I have been in the investment management industry since 1989, all with BMO Nesbitt Burns and its predecessors. In 1994, I received the designation of CIM, Certified Investment Manager and in 2001 was credited with the PFP, Professional Financial Planning. I officially received the title of Associate Investment Advisor in 1999. In September of 2011, I completed the Associate Portfolio Manager training. I was awarded the full designation of Portfolio Manager in December 2016. I joined the ORPEN Wealth Management Team in 1992 and after 25 years of working together, Terry retired in October 2017.  As a result, The Orpen Wealth Management team transitioned into Tammy Slugoski Wealth Management.

I firmly believe that our clients' interests are best served by taking a fully diversified portfolio approach to investing and by providing a high level of client service. I am committed to continuing my education to ensure I stay abreast of our industry’s changes as well as the changing needs of our clients.

As a young girl, I was raised on the family farm near Preeceville. At age 18, I moved to Regina with my twin sister to attend the University of Regina.

My husband Rich and I enjoy weekends at our cottage on Groome’s Vista at Pasqua Lake. Family is very important to us and we make it a priority to spend quality time there with my two stepsons and their families. We have four grandchildren and they have brought a wonderful new dimension to our life that is so enriching and keeps us smiling!

Practising yoga has become my passion, as I have been teaching beginner level yoga since 1999. I am always seeking out opportunities to explore and improve my teaching skills. I love golfing too, mainly because I get to spend the time outdoors.

My commitment to volunteering has encouraged me to take on an active role in community charity work. Recent fundraising with CPC Regina Wascana has me dedicated to the Pediatric Care and also the Women’s Shelters in Regina. I also worked on building a home in 2012 with Habitat for Humanity. I am most pleased to be able to contribute time and resources to the many worthwhile causes in our city.
