Kurt is a partner in the McLeod Wealth Management group, providing fiduciary investment management and wealth planning services to families throughout Canada.
He holds a law degree from the University of Toronto where he specialized in private estate and tax law and received the Schipper Prize for top student in advanced business law. He also holds a B.A., magna cum laude, from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., where he received the Ryan Medal for top student in Philosophy.
Kurt takes a quantitative, rules-based approach to investing with the conviction that long-term planning and behavioral discipline create the greatest advantages for his clients over time. To that end, he is an early adopter of new tools and technologies designed to make the wealth management process more unbiased and efficient.
Although he was born and raised in Alberta, Kurt’s prior career in the film and television business gave him an opportunity to live in Los Angeles, London, Vancouver, and Toronto, as well as travel throughout the world. He and his spouse, Samantha, are avid supporters of the Hospital for Sick Children and Children’s Aid Societies.
