Ryan has worked in the financial industry for 16 years, since graduating from the University of Lethbridge ,with a Bachelor of Management, majoring in Finance. His first role in the industry was as an Associate Estate and Insurance Advisor, which helped to identify the importance of planning for income and asset protection early on in his career.
Ryan later moved to BMO Nesbitt Burns where he has spent a combined 12 years with the firm. During his time at Nesbitt Burns, Ryan has earned several designations including the Professional Financial Planner (PFP), and the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM), which enables him to manage money on a discretionary basis for his clients.
In 2016, Ryan was a Nominee for the Investment Industry of Canada (IIAC) Top Under 40 Award.
Ryan has also been a part of the branch management team at Nesbitt Burns for the past 9 years, where he currently Co-Manages Branches covering Calgary, Red Deer and Medicine Hat, in addition to his home branch in Lethbridge.
On a personal note, Ryan has a passion for golf and working in the yard landscaping. Ryan's wife Shawn, and their son Hudson love to travel to warm destinations to escape the windy Lethbridge weather, and use this time to meet up with their family from the USA. For Ryan and his family, life is about experiences, as they have a small family and find value in being able to head out on an annual vacation somewhere new. As with any family with young children, when Ryan and Shawn are not working, they have no problems being kept busy!
Jocelyn has been employed with BMO Nesbitt Burns since 2013. She recently completed the Canadian Securities Course and other requirements to become an Investment Representative for the team.
In her first two years with the firm, Jocelyn worked as our branch operations administrator, quickly acquiring the skills and understanding of the day-to-day operations of a wealth management office. Since August 2016, Jocelyn has moved into her current role, supporting the administration and client service tasks for the team. Jocelyn's greatest skills sets are her ability to connect with people easily, her caring approach to fully understanding our clients individual situations and the importance of meeting their needs in a timely manner.
On a more personal note, Jocelyn moved to Lethbridge in the summer of 2013 from Moosomin, Saskatchewan, where she grew up on a family farm. Growing up she was involved in the local 4-H club for 17 years where she was involved in fundraising and volunteering within the community. When not at work she enjoys spending time with her husband, and two children doing outdoor activities such as; hiking, going to the Mountains and spending time on the farm.
