How U.S. Residents Can Benefit?
Robert Hesp is a Investment Adviser of BMO Nesbitt Burns Securities Ltd. (NBSL) and he is registered across each state individually as well as with the Federal regulators in the U.S.A.
What is NBSL?
NBSL is a U.S. Broker dealer and it operates as a division of BMO Nesbitt Burns Inc. NBSL does not have its own clearing and custodian services so it currently relies on the clearing services offered through a third party provider. U.S. resident clients of NBSL have the ability to hold and transact in eligible securities denominated in either U.S. dollars or Canadian dollars. This currency election together with access to informed Canadian market research expertise provides U.S. residents with an attractive compliment to traditional U.S. market investments.
Eligible Canadian securities are restricted to those under the 'Blue Sky Rules'. For example, Canadian fixed income securities are limited to Government of Canada (GOC) issued bonds, GOC guaranteed bonds (i.e. Provincial issuers) and GOC agency bonds (i.e. CMHC). Eligible Canadian equities are limited to those that are inter-listed; that is, those that trade concurrently on a recognized Canadian and U.S. exchange. Canadian mutual funds and corporate bonds are examples of two types of securities not registered in the U.S. for sale to U.S. residents through a foreign dealer.
How We Can Help?
Robert focuses on wealth leadership, financial organization and ensuring clients' financial lives are protected regardless of the markets, economy, and/or world events. With this in mind, he builds and manages portfolios based on client values and goals to help achieve long-term aspirations. Robert's minimum account threshold for new U.S. clients is $1,000,000 U.S.D. Ideal clients have complex financial situations and portfolios exceeding $5,000,000 U.S.D.
In business since 1993, Robert is committed to being a dynamic wealth advisor who leads his growth and income-oriented individual and institutional clients by helping them achieve their investment objectives. His team directly reflects his foundation of ethical, human, economic and social values that manifest themselves in respect for the individual, integrity, responsibility, excellence and innovation. In many instances, after building solid and lasting client relationships, business continuity with the second generation of family members results. Providing wealth leadership and outstanding service are top priorities for Robert and his team because clients value security and the comfort of knowing their financial resources are well managed by a qualified and professional steward.
