Rose Palma, B. Acc., CFP®, CIM
As a member of the Wealth Management Consulting team, Rose works directly with Advisors who want to position themselves as their clients’ CFO by helping them identify and address the needs and goals of their High Net Worth clientele. Rose brings together the knowledge and experience of our in-house tax and estate professionals and works with Advisors and their clients to develop sound wealth management plans. She provides Advisor support and direction about complex issues such as retirement and distribution planning, tax planning, cash management, estate and gift planning, transition planning and charitable giving.
Rose has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. Before joining BMO Nesbitt Burns, she has worked for several major investment firms where she provided clients with financial planning and investment counseling advice.
Rose holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER®, and Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) Designations, as well as an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree, Major in Accounting. Rose is a member of the Canadian Institute of Financial Planners.
Amal Eldassouki, B.A., Econ, CFP®
Amal joined BMO Private Banking in January 2002 where she is a Senior Private Banker specializing in relationship management, providing valued personalized financial advice and solutions to the needs of affluent individuals and their families. She is also an integral part of the co-ordination and delivery of financial services to other BMO Financial Group partners.
Prior to joining the Private Bank, Amal gained experience at the Bank of Montreal in roles as an Assistant Manager and Financial Services Manager. She has been in the financial industry for over 25 years.
Amal completed her Bachelor of Arts Degree with a major in Economics from the University of Calgary. She successfully completed the Canadian Securities Course. In addition, Amal is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER®.
Shawna Albornoz, MTI, TEP, EPC
Shawna Albornoz is the Vice President of Trust Services (Prairies) with BMO Trust Company, the fiduciary arm of the BMO Financial Group. Shawna has been in the Estate and Trust Industry since 2001 and she has administered over 120 Estate, Trust, Power of Attorney and charitable foundation accounts during her career. Through her experience as a corporate Executor and Trustee for high net worth clients she has acquired the expertise to help families effectively plan for the transfer of wealth to the next generation.
Grant Brooks, CFP®, CLU
As a member of the Wealth Management Consulting team, Grant works directly with Advisors to help them identify and address the needs and goals of their high and ultra-high net worth clientele. Grant brings together the knowledge and experience of our in-house tax and estate professionals to develop planning strategies and establish wealth plans, driven by client priorities, helping them achieve their goals, solve problems, and ultimately making them feel good about their financial future and the team of professionals they are working with. He provides Advisors support and direction on complex issues such as retirement planning, tax planning, cash management, estate and gift planning, business succession, transition planning and philanthropy.
Grant brings over a decade of experience as a financial consultant and financial planner. He has a strong depth of understanding in tax, business, retirement, estate, and insurance planning. Grant has a breadth of experience working with business owners, executives, and professionals including transition planning, generational wealth transfer, and complex family situations. More importantly, Grant understands the emotional side of clients and knows how to listen to them to personalize solutions and tailor delivery of planning recommendations to be meaningful.
Grant is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® Professional and holds the advanced tax and estate planning designation of Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU). He has completed his Canadian Securities Course (CSC), Life License Qualification Program (LLQP), and Certified Seniors Advisor (CSA) designations. He has a depth of practical experience in reviewing will, power of attorney, and other legal documents and providing estate planning and presentation strategies.
Navdeep Brar, CPA, CA, TEP, CDFA
Nav advises high net worth business owners and families on specialized Tax & Estate solutions aimed at maximizing their wealth, as part of an integrated wealth planning team. Drawing on years of tax and estate planning experience, his clients benefit from the depth of informed insight and the ability to distill complex concepts into actionable strategies. Specializing in Canadian corporations and entrepreneurs, Nav offers guidance on tax structuring, estate planning, business succession and tax-efficient wealth transfer, creating tailored solutions for a diverse group of clients.
Sarah King, BComm (Fin), PFP
Sarah graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Commerce, with a focus on Finance and Risk Management. She joined the financial industry in 2006 and has been helping high net worth families achieve their goals ever since. She assists high net worth families with complex affairs, to preserve, grow and transition their wealth to future generations.
Sarah has enjoyed a very successful and impressive career to date, being a leading professional consultant in the insurance industry for major financial services firms. With over 12 years of experience in the Wealth Management industry, Sarah believes in long term, trusting relationships and works closely with advisors and their clients to provide customized solutions and strategies to meet their specific goals. Her solutions focus on minimizing the client’s risk, protecting their assets, and growing their estate. She provides each advisor, and their clients, with professional customer service and efficient timelines. Sarah is able to provide advice on Life Insurance, Critical Illness, Disability and Long Term Care.
An avid cyclist and skier, Sarah brings that same discipline and commitment to a variety of community and personal causes. Having biked across Canada twice for Kids Cancer, it is evident she is dedicated and determined at whatever she puts her mind to.
