Michael's industry designations include the standard Securities, Options and Level II Insurance Licenses and he also became CFP® professional in 2003. Michael is a Portfolio Manager and leads a Wealth Management team of five professionals overseeing approximately C$900 million in assets under administration. Michael is dually employed by BMO Nesbitt Burns Securities Limited, the U.S. Broker-dealer subsidiary of BMO Nesbitt Burns Inc., which enables him to do business with U.S. residents of certain States.
Michael completed his University degree at Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts where he received his B.A. in Economics in 1981. As part of that degree, Michael did one year of studies in International Economics at the University of Geneva, in Switzerland. He currently resides in Toronto and has a son and a daughter, both young adults in age. Little-known personal facts about Michael: He speaks fluent French, passable Italian and weak Spanish. He enjoys cycling and golf in warm months, skiing and snowboarding in cold months and travel and good wine during all months.
Milica has worked with Michael since she joined Nesbitt Burns in 1996. Milica holds an Economics degree from the University of Belgrade. Since then, she has successfully completed the Canadian Securities Course, Conduct and Practices Handbook Course, Professional Financial Planning Course, Wealth Management Techniques Course and Wealth Advisory Program. Milica spearheads the data gathering and preparation of our financial plans, executes clients orders and also handles portfolio advisory work involving fixed income and mutual fund securities. She is also responsible for senior service level work for our clients' more complex concerns (tax, estate and insurance planning), providing a liaison with our in-house specialists in the Wealth Planning Group. In her spare time, Milica enjoys spending time with her family, travelling and reading.
Victoria began her career in the financial industry in 2010 and has been working with BMO Nesbitt Burns for over 6 years, including a previous role with The Dorfman Group from 2012 to 2017. She is a graduate from the Schulich School of Business where she earned her International Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a specialization in economics and finance. Victoria has successfully completed her Wealth Management Essentials, Derivatives Fundamentals and Options Licensing, Canadian Securities Course, and Conduct and Practices Handbook. Within the team Victoria focuses on account administration and special projects to further enhance client service.

Liza comes to The Dorfman Group from the BMO Nesbitt Burns Uptown Branch where she was the Assistant Branch Manager. Prior to that, Liza’s role within BMO Nesbitt Burns was as a Practice Management Consultant. With over 20 years of experience in financial services, Liza spent the majority of her career within the Power Group of Companies holding such roles as Financial Security Advisor; Regional Manager, Retirement & Investment Services; Regional Manager, Practice Development and National Manager, Investment Sales Distribution. Proudly, Liza was part of a ground-breaking team of finance professionals who developed the Settlement to Employment Program at Algonquin College (Ottawa) which helped newly arrived Canadians find jobs in the finance field. Within this program, Liza taught the Certified Financial Planning curriculum as well as the Life Licensing Qualification Program.
Liza holds standard Securities (Canadian & US), Options, and Insurance Licenses. Liza is a certified Wilson Learning Coach. She holds the Chartered Life Underwriter CLU® designation, Canada's premier wealth transfer and estate planning designation. The CLU is an advanced designation that expands on the knowledge gained in the CFP® education program with a focus on estate planning and wealth transfer.
Liza received a Bachelor of Arts from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec. She is past Treasurer of the Montreal Chamber Orchestra, past Board Member of the Hong Kong Canada Business Association and past volunteer at a local Distress Centre.
Born and raised in Montreal, Liza now calls Toronto home. Liza is a proud mother to a precocious 2 year old who both enjoy biking, camping and international travel. She is fluent in English, French & Cantonese.
Femi began his career in the financial industry in 2017 with BMO. Following successful spells with BMO Financial and BMO Wealth Management, he joined The Dorfman Group in February 2019. Femi graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Brock University. Since then, he has successfully completed the Canadian Securities Course, and Conduct and Practices Handbook Course. Femi assists the team with account documentation, client transactions, and other daily administrative support duties.
Femi enjoys supporting his community as he often volunteers within the Peel region for; Newcomers to Canada, United Way, and Yonge Street Mission. He has obtained awards such as; the Data Management Award in school for attaining a record breaking average, BMO Quarterly Spotlight Award twice for the outstanding experience he consistently provides clients, Most Outstanding Club Award for his input as an actor with the African Students Association at Brock University.
In his spare time, Femi enjoys watching and playing soccer, tennis, and basketball. He is passionate about exploring countries, and discovering cooking recipes. He occasionally performs stage plays, short films, and previously dabbled in stand-up comedy performances before he began writing his own novel. He is also fluent in Yoruba.
