Associate Investment Advisor
I graduated from the UBC Sauder School of Business in 1998. Like many new grads, I spent several years finding my way. In 2004, I found my place working with Janice at BMO Nesbitt Burns and never turned back.
Much of what appeals to me about this industry is the personal aspect of what we do and the impact we make on our clients lives. I find it very rewarding when I help clients to understand and make good financial decisions that are right for them, and I am proud to say that is what our team does day in and day out and is the foundation of our business.
My affinity for finance and wealth management stems from my humble beginnings.
I came to Canada in the early 80s with my 8 family members and we lived in a small 2 bedroom basement suite together. My family worked long hard hours so that they could afford a house, raise and educate their children, and save a small nest egg for retirement. I learned that regardless of income level, one can achieve their financial goals given a well thought out financial plan and the discipline to stay with it.
I am now a registered Investment Advisor and I have completed the Professional Financial Planning and Wealth Advisory courses. Currently, I am pursuing the Chartered Investment Manager designation which will allow me to provide discretionary portfolio management.
My husband is a CPA, CA with his own boutique practice. We have a 6-year old daughter and an 8-year old son who keep us very busy going from one activity to the next. Aside from volunteering with my kids’ sports teams in various capacities, I find time to play on the Nesbitt Chuckers baseball team. I also enjoy playing volleyball, boarding on water and snow, and baking. Next summer, I plan to take up tennis again!
