I have been in the financial services industry since 1980. I graduated from the University of Western Ontario and am a Chartered Financial Analyst charter holder. At various points in my career, I served as a branch manager of both a Bank of Montreal office and a BMO Nesbitt Burns office.
I am actively involved in helping BMO Wealth develop their discretionary platform for investment advisors. So far this has happened by sharing my knowledge with other portfolio managers casually, participating in testing systems and being part of the national committee that oversees the Managed Portfolio Account program for BMO Nesbitt Burns. Currently, I am involved in training new portfolio managers at BMO Nesbitt Burns and teaching securities at the University of Windsor. Since financial success is "being able to do what you want to do, when you want to do it”, I enjoy helping clients define "what they want to do”.
My wife and I love active travel. I am also interested in electronics, wood working, model railroads and learning. I continually read on a wide variety of subjects with special interest in science, technology, history and psychology. I am also involved in a couple of local charities. After all, money has no value unless you do things with it! Thanks for reading this!
