Don's Hearty Harvest Chili

Large pack of sliced mushrooms

Julia's Adventure
We now know Don's secret to escaping the cold, Julia on the other hand doesn’t bare the cold nearly as well. This November she flew south to Ecuador for two weeks for a bit of sunshine, culture, and a great adventure.

She learnt about local craft, traditional dance, and brushed up on her Spanish. She traveled around Ecuador with a tour group visiting cities throughout inland Ecuador and the Amazon. We have heard several stories regarding her experiences with endangered wildlife, on a motorized canoe and her visit to the equator. A trip to South America doesn't seem like such a bad idea.
First Day of School
As the cold settles in for the winter, it's hard to believe the year has passed by so quickly. It seems like just yesterday it was the beginning of September and Kristen was taking Matt to his first day of school. Where does the time go? School is going well and with half the year gone the family is very excited for their holiday trip to Mexico on Christmas Day.
