While Dan Hwang has more than 18 years of experience in financial services and solid industry credentials, he is still young enough to offer multigenerational families the assurance of long-term, continued service through long-standing relationships. Dan brings his clients – primarily entrepreneurs, professionals, and retirees – a high degree of insurance knowledge, estate planning experience and understanding of tax efficiency planning. And, as a former banker, he knows the importance of credit and the power of leverage.
Dan joined BMO Private Wealth in 2007 after working at Clarica (now Sunlife) as an Insurance Advisor and at RBC as a Personal Banker. He earned his Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from the University of Alberta in 2003 and holds the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®), Financial Management Advisor (FMA), and Personal Financial Planner (PFP®) designations. Dan also speaks fluent Korean.
A devoted family man, Dan’s life centres around his wife and three young sons. He treasures time spent outdoors with the family – they head over to Lac Ste. Anne almost every weekend to enjoy swimming, kayaking, ice fishing, and fishing.
Bailey leads the wealth planning component of our team and keeps us all well organized and streamlined. Bailey helps us to discover all we need to know about our clients and build close relationships with them.
After studying science at Grant MacEwan University, Bailey began her financial career as an Associate with World Financial Group, helping clients to determine the best insurance solution for their unique needs across numerous insurance institutions. Next, she became an Administrative Assistant at James Barrow Financial, working closely with a financial planner and handling back-office matters. Prior to joining BMO in January 2019, Bailey was an Insurance Agent with HUB Financial Inc. She has completed her Canadian Securities Course (CSC) with the Canadian Securities Institute and obtained her Life Insurance License in 2015. She is also working to earn her Wealth Management Essentials (WME), and Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation.
When she’s not on Zoom calls with her long-term boyfriend who is currently living in Europe, Bailey enjoys playing video games, reading and curling up at home with her beloved cat.
