Over the 20 years that Dan has spent in the investment industry, he has showcased a passion for working with entrepreneurial clients who require a detailed, professional approach to wealth management. Dan is responsible for managing client portfolios and addressing their unique financial needs in order to create a personalized wealth plan for each of them.
Dan completed his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics in 1993 at the University of Michigan and began his career in the financial services industry as an Associate Investment Advisor with TD Wealth in 1995. He joined BMO Nesbitt Burns as an Investment Advisor in October of 2011 and successfully grew his practice until joining The Sutton-Thiessen Wealth Advisory Group in 2015. Dan obtained his designation as a Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®) in 2013, allowing for discretionary portfolio management of accounts for retail and institutional clients. He achieved his Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI®) in 2018.
When Dan is not busy at the office or on the road meeting with clients, him and his wife, Lisa, like to spend time with their ten year old Chocolate Lab named Lucy, going for walks in the forests of Manitoba. He is also a proud Uncle who enjoys taking in the sports and school activities of nephew Josh (17), niece Rhyan (7), and nephew Zac (4).
