Catherine Morrissey is an investment advisor, and Senior Vice-President at BMO Nesbitt Burns. In 1991 she founded The Morrissey Group; a group of highly qualified investment professionals with the common goal of providing an exceptional level of financial management, investment advice, and customized client service.
Catherine has over 25 years of experience in the financial industry, having started her career as a research assistant at Burns Fry Ltd. In 1985 she moved to McLeod Young Weir (later to become Scotia McLeod), where she was a Vice-President, Director, and member of the firm's prestigious Chairman's Council for over 15 years.
Catherine's years of experience have brought many significant achievements, the most recent of which being the Deane Nesbitt/Charles Burns Award--an award given to advisors who rank within the top 20 in the country. In 1999 she received the Austin Taylor Achievement Award in recognition for excellence among investment advisors. She is also a fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute, has achieved the Certified Financial Planner® (CFP) designation and is a Life Insurance Advisor with BMO Nesbitt Burns Financial Services.
Catherine is the group leader. She looks after the development, implementation and the monitoring of client portfolios.
In her spare time, Catherine is an active member in her communities. In Toronto, she was the owner of the Waterside Sports Club downtown. Catherine also spends much of her free time North of the city in the Creemore area where she is a member of the Purple Hills Arts and Heritage Society, the Mad River Golf Club and the owner of the Creemore Hills Winery.
