Phil assists high net worth individuals and families in structuring their personal and corporate affairs in a tax-efficient manner. His areas of expertise include owner-manager compensation, corporate reorganizations and divestitures, business succession, estate planning, charitable giving and other related tax planning matters.
Phil joined BMO Private Wealth in 2021 after progressively senior roles at Deloitte LLP and previoulsy PwC LLP, in the private services tax practice of each firm. He has broad geographical and industry experience, serving clients from offices in Vancouver, Halifax, St John's, Montreal and Boston; in many varied industries. Throughout the years,his main focus has always been on delivering integrated tax planning and practical solutions for his owner-manager clients and their families, their businesses and their investment holding companies.
Phil holds the CPA and CA (Chartered Professional Accountant) designations and has a Bachelors of Commerce/Arts from Memorial Univeristy of New Foundland.
