Senior Investment Advisor
With over three decades of experience in the investment industry, Scott Currie joined BMO Nesbitt Burns as a Senior Investment Advisor in 1995. Scott is responsible for strategic direction, portfolio strategy, and asset allocation.
Scott is a graduate of Simon Fraser University, earning a Bachelor of Business in Economics and Finance.
Scott was born and raised in Nanaimo and believes in actively supporting the local community. Scott has held various roles in the following community organizations:
- Past Member and Past Treasurer of the Nanaimo Rotary Club
- Member and Past Director of the Nanaimo Gyro Club
- Past President of Nanaimo Serauxmen Service Club
- Past President of Nanaimo Senior Housing Society
- Past President of Nanaimo Community Foundation
- Past Director of Loyal Nanaimo Bathtub Society
When not in the office, Scott enjoys exploring Vancouver Island and spending time on the water with his wife and three children.
With over 30 years of experience in the wealth management industry, Kent Cookman is professionally designated to create financial plans and provide advice on economic, investment, and portfolio considerations.
Kent is a graduate of the Concordia College of Minnesota, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration and History while on scholarship.
Outside of the office, Kent is an avid fisherman who dedicates his time to family and the community through local charities and supporting youth sports.

Dave has worked in the investment industry for over 25 years and joined the Currie Cookman Wealth Advisory Group in 2013. Dave earned a Bachelor of Education Degree from the University of Manitoba.
Outside of work, Dave enjoys playing music and performing with his local band, Celtic Chaos. Dave is married with four grown children and two granddaughters.
Tammy has worked at BMO Nesbitt Burns since 1996 and is a central team member for all account related matters including maintenance, inquiries, and updates. Tammy is available to process any requests which clients may have, while ensuring your investment experience with the Currie Cookman Wealth Advisory group is trouble free!
Tammy enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, and is very passionate about horticulture as a member of the Master Gardeners Association.
Hannah has worked within the financial industry for over 5 years. Before joining the Currie Cookman Wealth Advisory Group in mid 2021, Hannah began her career as a Personal Banking Associate at BMO Bank of Montreal. She earned her Bachelor of Business degree from Vancouver Island University and has completed her Canadian Securities Course. Outside of work, Hannah enjoys soaking up the sun, caring for her rare tropical house plants and her two cats.
