My passion within my career is to demystify many of the complex financial anxieties that the majority of Canadians face. From the most simplistic budgeting and savings strategies to intricate wealth planning techniques; I am proud to be a breadth of knowledge and hopefully a refreshing voice on how to manage your money, your investments and retirement planning.
Personally I find the psychology surrounding each person’s unique relationship with money to be fascinating. My objective is to help clients understand their personal relationship with money and utilize that knowledge to maximize their goals.
Fitness is my favourite pastime and my husband, Anthony and I can usually be found embracing the outdoors with our daughter, Sophia and our dog, Lilly along for the adventure.
For over 20 years I have had the pleasure of working with clients not only on managing their investment portfolios but in helping to guide them through numerous life changes. My role as a Wealth Advisor has provided me with the knowledge to help clients explore their options beyond simply retirement and consider other avenues that their wealth allows them to afford, such as helping children, philanthropic initiatives and exploring individual passions. It has been a pleasure to develop genuine relationships with my clients that extends beyond a simple rate of return.
My keen interest in the financial markets provides me with the in-depth knowledge required to manage the most complex investment portfolios. My strengths lie within detailed analysis and this has served my clients well throughout my career. Although attention to the portfolio is paramount I strive to deliver a complete approach to wealth management including financial planning and leveraging the resources of my professional contacts both within BMO and outside of our firm.
A great movie night is always well attended in my home, with my wife Doris and our two sons Nick and Andrew. I have always been focused on fitness; whether running 10K races for charity or taking on the challenge of a boot-camp fitness class. I am an avid skier and our family loves to enjoy the ski slopes each winter.
I started my career in the financial services industry in 1979 with Victoria and Grey Trust and since then I have held a variety of different positions at the bank branch level including Assistant Branch Manager, Investment Supervisor Officer and Personal Banker.
Reflecting my enthusiasm for learning and investments, I have successfully completed both the Canadian Securities Course (1998) and the Professional Financial Planning Course (2002).
My financial experience and dedication to client service make me a valuable addition to the Mason-Schooley Wealth Advisory Team. I share in the day-to-day responsibilities of office administration and am also a key contact for our clients throughout the investment process.
Family life is very important to me. My husband Bruce and I are very fortunate to have four beautiful grandchildren. When I’m not chasing after the little ones I also enjoy spending time outdoors fishing and gardening.
