Chris Chung, PFP, FCSI

Investment Advisor And Financial Planner

Chris focuses on working with clients to create long-term, personalized wealth plans in addition to overseeing the portfolio design. He holds the Personal Financial Planner designation (PFP) and holds the prestigious designation as a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI), the highest honor in Canadian financial services. Chris also earned the Responsible Investment Advisor Certification equipping him with the tools to incorporate environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors into his investment decisions. He is also Life Insurance licensed, allowing him to provide a comprehensive approach to estate protection and preservation strategies.
 
For more than 15 years, Chris has been serving high-net-worth individuals, families, and businesses, by providing sound financial and wealth planning and portfolio management. Prior to joining BMO Nesbitt Burns in 2017, Chris worked with RBC Financial Planning helping high-net-worth clients.

Apart from his professional life, Chris is passionate about volunteering, and he has been involved in many organizations. He’s been able to bring his expertise to local and national organizations. These include him being the Chair for the Montessori School of Calgary, committee member for fundraising for the Down Syndrome Resource Foundation, Up The Down Market, and a board member for Intersect (Faith, Work, & Society).
 
In his free time, Chris enjoys cycling, menswear, DIY projects, and tinkering with cars. He lives in Calgary, Alberta with his wife and 2 very active girls. When not at work, Chris and his family spend a lot of their time at the Glencoe Club, and enjoying the outdoors.

Sean Groves

Associate Investment Advisor

With over 25 years in the Investment Industry, Sean is an experienced Senior Associate Investment Advisor with a demonstrated history of success in the Asset Management Industry. He provides administrative support and attends to client needs by executing client instructions and providing accurate and timely information on market activity and company products.

After earning his BA from The University of Calgary and his B.Comm. from Athabasca University, Sean started his career in the Investment Industry and remained an active member for the next 25 years. He has been with BMO Nesbitt Burns since October 2021.

Aside from his professional life, Sean is passionate about volunteering, having sponsored two children through Compassion Canada. Sean deeply values his family and is happily married with his two active boys. He is an outdoor enthusiast and loves to spend his spare time camping, hiking, and kayaking.
