Welcome

It was three days into his career when David was given, what may be the best lesson learned to date. "Treat every penny you manage as if it is your own. If you wouldn't put your money into it, don't ever recommend it to someone else. There will be times that you are wrong – that is understood. But with this in the back of your mind, you will never be lazy or greedy." The lesson came from a former employer.

David spent almost 10 years on the institutional side, recommending transactions and valuing assets totaling billions of dollars. David's career started at a boutique financial advisory firm that worked very much like a family office. The company's core client was a family holding company with hundreds of millions of dollars of assets.

David's first project was to review an investment opportunity passed along from a large investment bank. After researching the opportunity, David recommended the transaction. It was then that the boss told David that if he was recommending the transaction, he was also investing his own money in that transaction. 10% of his savings, 2% of his salary and 100% of his bonus was to be invested alongside the boss and directly in this investment that he recommended. This is where the best lesson was learned, and has been a guiding principle for every dollar he manages.

His passion though always remained in working with private individuals helping them to achieve their financial goals. After the financial crisis of 2008, he recognized an opportunity to provide institutional quality advice to those who were not being adequately serviced.

Since 2009 David has been singularly focused, working with private individuals, corporations and charities to help them achieve their financial goals.
